My 1993 Volvo 940 Turbo won't start. I can get power from the battery. Where is the starter to check that?

If you don't know where the starter is then you won't know how to check it. Take it to a mechanic.

I am a retired mechanic and a volvo owner and I reccomend you get someone who knows what they are doing to check out your problem. cars are dangerous enough without people fiddling blindly with them.

I assume you mean the starter won't crank the engine. Did you try a jump start and check the battery voltage with a meter? If the voltage is good, there could be a blown fuse or relay. Also, wire leading to the starter could be broken. These are general things to check on any vehicle.
