  • An iPod is nothing more than a purpose-built, handheld computer. I will tell you about the music only ones since the video, etc are more complex. All iPods contain a hard drive, like your computer. The screen connects to a small computer processor in the iPod allowing you to manage and listen to songs. A small battery is mounted inside, and a scroll wheel for control is there to finish it off. Loading songs onto it is easy. You need iTunes from Apple. Download it free from their site. Plug in your iPod, install the software that came with it, then open iTunes. It will detect it and let you manage it. Load all the songs you want to put on ur iPod into iTunes. Then simply transfer them over and let your computer do the conversions, etc. Read your instruction manual too....
