Army Veteran Check this out: In the 1970s my family moved to a house 4 houses down and then, a year later, moved to a house 4 houses down the other way from the first one. We never stayed in one place very long when I was a kid - LOL.

once or twice....can't remember exactly when I moved the time before last....it's close to 5 yrs. I'll say twice. I've had 5-year periods where I didn't move, and at least one where I moved 4 times. Never had a 6 or 7 move session in 5 yrs like some others....wow. Word of advice for any of you "frequent movers": maintain one static address for credit purposes (like a $40/yr UPS store mailbox or something) and use that for any credit/license stuff. That'll make ya look more stable and help on credit reports, lease applications, etc.

DUe to work related moves, I have moved a total of 4 times in the past five years however; I have been told that this posting should be stable for the next two years hopefully!

Let me count I started living with a friend from college. The first move was going to live with my fiance and his parents. A year later we got married and then that year we moved into our own place. When our lease was up on our apartment we moved to another one. Six months later we bought a house. I have moved four times in the last five years, and I don't plan on moving for at least another five years. I hate moving.

I've moved once in the last 45 years. That's what going to 11 different schools from kindergarten through 8th grade will do to you.

-0-, not in the last twenty years. I hope I won't have to again. I hate moving. I will probably sell this place when I retire and move into a smaller, more efficient place. But that is pretty far in the future.

None, thank God. For a while, my husband and I moved a lot for career reasons, and then we downsized several years ago when our younger child was in college, but we've been in one city for 20 years now and one home for the past 7.
