Give them a shitty reference. That will teach them
-
No if they were my friend I would be glad to give them a glowing review....if it were true.
-
No . . . but it's slightly disconcerting to answer the phone and suddenly find out you're supposed to be giving a reference.
-
No, but I would definitely tell them they were being really stupid leaving me unprepared. That's only if they left me as a reference and never told me until I got the call from the person checking references. Otherwise, I'd say sure, thanks for the heads up, and ask them what they wanted me to say about them. My big concern would be if I wasn't prepared. That would be stupid.
-
Not at all.
-
No... unless the person wasn't really a good friend and I was put in an awkward spot because I couldn't, in good conscious, give a good reference.
-
It would entirely depend on the friend.
-
Not at all - what are friends for?
-
No, I wouldn't be mad. However it would be nice to give a me a heads up so I am not taken by surprise when I get the phone call.
-
I wouldn't be if: 1. I liked them 2. I thought that they'd make a decent employee 3. They told me about it before I got any calls Otherwise I would be.
-
Considering I don't have any friends, I would be surprised to get a phone call inquiring about anyone's moral fiber.
-
No, but then, they cant be surprised at what kind of reference I give them.
-
i do not think i would be mad however,i would like to think i have friends with manners so i wont have to find out.
-
I would not mind, but I wish they would let me know so I know what kind of questioning to expect.
-
Mo! I wouldn't be mad. I love them and care about them so I will not be mad. I will just be happy to help.
-
No, I've had several friends do that, and I am always pleased to give them the best reference I possibly can.
-
No, not really
-
NO, I wouldn't be, as long as it was actually a friend. Now if it were someone I don't know real well, who just thought I was a friend, I wouldn't have much to say about them.
-
Not really; they don't need to ask me for something like that. I'm always willing to help like that. They are, after all, my friends... ***** I think just to be polite they probably 'should' ask me (or at least tell me, lol) first, but if they don't then I don't care - they are my friends and I will help.
-
No ~ I'd be happy to brag about how great my friend is :)
-
If they were a friend for sure, no- not a problem. If they were not a friend, maybe an acquaintance and I don't know them all that well- I wouldn't like it very much.
-
I wonβt mind if it is one of my good friends that I can trust, just as long as they are not talking BS
-
no not at all, isn't that what friends are for? - to help each other out.
-
No way. If I can help I will and they don't need my permission for that.
-
Although I prefer to know in advance, I would not be mad, no.
