  • Nope, I think I will stick with XP :-)
  • What did you do! No!!! Vista is a tricky operating system. It's going to work fine for the first months. Then it's going to ask you for updates, and more and more. It's going to lag, and decrease your computer's performance. Yes, the interface is glossy and nice, but it's not worth it. Edit: Well to be honest, I've been using this OS for over a year, and during that gradual change, I've began noticing that this isn't such a bad OS at all. After the SP2, things have cleared up and facilitated. Give it a try. Can't be "that" bad.
  • Yes, I've been using it for over a year, and I have liked it all the way. It looks good, it has the best tools yet, and I have had 99.9% less errors than I had with XP Pro.
  • Xp rocks!
  • it took me a little bit to get used to vista but now that i am its ok
  • I feel the same way chick, yeah it looks good, but it seems to have lost some old festure of xp which means i have to go the long route, yep i have a few issues with vista too :)
  • I hate it. I have so many problems with both my comptuers that have it. I want to find a brand new computer with XP on it. :(
  • Stick with XP for atleast another year, its the 'lesser of the two unstables'.
  • I love Vista. Been using it for 10 months now without any problems.
  • I actually love it. I love the dreamscenes, the 3d flip I love Media center. I havent found much I don't like about.
  • Not a chance.. its a resource hog. the only thing it has going for it is the nice look. Other than that it is another wonderful piece of crap form Microsoft...
  • I don't know. I am working on XP for now and willing to let them work out some of the problems on Vista before I make the big switch:)
  • I fuckin hate it. LOL!
  • So sorry :-/
  • currently with XP, won't get near Vista unless i have too. Waiting for the next OS. pegan-babe, have you tried setting it to Windows Classic, It might be more tolarable? phil
  • yaaaa.......... me too.... vista didnt suports many softwares..... i really try to broke my pc with that....... now back to xp......
  • Without Service Pack 1, Vista is slower and less reliable than XP. However, the service pack does make a big difference. You can get started with SP1 here: http://www.mydigitallife.info/2008/01/26/windows-vista-sp1-rc-refresh-2-600118000-released-include-wu-install-registry-code/
  • I hate it so much!!!
  • Hell no! I downgraded back to WinXP! Stupid microsoft and their expensive mistakes... (note WE pay for their buggy software while microsoft is still working on the problems ALL the time hence all the damn patches...) The day there is a windows emulator for Linux that works 100% of the time is the day I kick microsoft out of my life for good! :D You'd think with their vast empire and riches they could hire a few people to test and 'attack' windows and find all the flaws before they ship out their buggy ass products! Richard Shines
  • NO!!!! I hate it. I want my old computer back. :(
  • The problem with windows Vista is the same problem Windows XP had....it must undstable. But with each service pack to come it will improve. When Xp came out I still used Windows 98SE for a year or so untill it became stable and usable....so yes Vista sucks now but in time it will improve....but if you want stable get Linux, gaming XP and Direct X 10 gaming go for Vista....
  • i hate that damn thaing i get hacked errors all kind of crap
  • Slackware user: Microsoft sucks and so does Mac. But I'd rather use Mac than Vista...
  • you are so limited when you have vista what are you amish?!
  • I dont like it I LOVE IT, XP sucked it lagged XD. I upgraded to vista and its AWESOME. I had to turn off the USC but after that no prob. XP was a disappointment i wanted to downgrade to 2000 or 98SP2. I saw a comment so here is my response to it. If you get hacked, thats because your security software sucks! NOT THE OS! If you get errors use the tool on the CD to fix it, its called REPAIR lol. I use my comp for web-design, i run ftp while making and editing webpages. I use background tools to insure that files are transferring properly. I never had the computer get close to crashing and im running off a 2.7 celeron single core!!! 1.5gig ram, im under the recommend for most of my wed-design tools :P. i know im probably gonna get downgraded but w/e. If you need help with Vista just ask me and i'll help you.
  • I want to hunt down all copies, burn them, encase the ashes in molten lead and drop them in the deepest part of the ocean.
  • My PC came with XP and it works just fine. I've never used Vista and I'm going to avoid using it for as long as I can.
  • I hate WV. My computer is not performing the way it used to with XP. I think I'll be going back to XP.
  • Hate it. I have my XP back now. Microsoft shouldn't of released Vista knowing that their are problems with it.
  • This Microsoft incomprehensible mania to imitate Mac's interface has produced this piece of trash called Vista: unreliable, too much securities and still too many bugs and viruses.
  • I do not like vista and hope before to much longer to take it OUT of my computer and go back to XP Pro! I don't see many advantages of it and many disadvantages of it...for one thing it will not run my older programs!
  • Downgrading to vista is fun, isn't it.
  • I hate it, and so does everyone else that has it. NO LIE. I think ive reloaded XP on about 15-20 computers so far for friends and family.
  • Windows is JUNK. Mac is a far better machine. Window's only saving grace is that not everyone has switched yet.
  • Don't really care. Congratulations.
  • I had Vista on a laptop and after I shut down every unneeded function, it wasn't too bad. But since I switched to Linux, I'll never go back to Windows anything.
  • I like XP better than Vista.
  • i think its just a matter of time. but personally i like Vista layouts and stuff. I still prefer XP though
  • Sux0rz. +3
  • I haven't met many people who liked it. Linux rox!
  • Yes. I like it. But I don't like Windows XP anymore.
  • its kinda annoying, mine always asks me approve things, and thats after i have told it to go head and do it? :S
  • it's alright. it's mainly for people who don't know how to work a computer. everything has a wizard. but i like it just fine.
  • Vista sucks.
  • it grows on you. make sure you have the latest service pack, though sendschie
  • windows vista is the most horrible thing microsoft came out with. you should have waited a few months for the new windows 7. vista has alot of problems, esp with a 64 bit system. in my opinion a piece of junk. microsoft should off the new windows 7 free of charge to the vista purchasers.
  • Windows 7 is better still buggy though. Windows Vista is the new Windows ME
  • Hate it!
  • To be polite . YOU NEED YOUR BRAINS TESTING. Vista is rubbish even after 2 years they cannot get any of the programmes compatible. I have hundreds of pounds worth of software that I cannot use on Vista. It does not have one redeeming feature.
  • I like it except how it isn't compatible with my printer, and one aspect of the security system bugs me (I have my internet security set up to run at start-up, but the Vista security prevents it from doing so: every time I start the computer I have to manually allow the internet security to start as well -- I've heard that on Vista Office or whatever it's called you do have the option to permanently allow programs to run at start-up, but on Vista Home you do not. Stupid!) However, every single OS I've ever had has some stupid things about it ... Vista seems no different to me, ultimately.
  • I'll stay with XP Pro till MS comes out with something better.
  • I use to think it was nice but then i hated it but now im just use to it. It's ok.
  • I upgraded from XP to Vista and I didn't like it at first, but then started to like some of the features like the Aeri windows and such. I like how it previews pics that I take with my camera and creates slide shows! but thats all I like about it. I have had nothing but trouble since I installed Roxio Easy CD/DVD Copier on it that said it was Vista Compatible. It wasn;t and now it freezes when i try to launch the program, and Uninstall "stalls" on any program that I try to uninstall. i will have to reformat and reload. I am thinking about going back to XP, which is what I would do if I were YOU! GOOD LUCK if you decide to stick with it. It will eventually betray you and have you gnashing your teeth!
  • I have one and gives me problems.
  • At first it ran a little slower then what I expected but after I got used to the thing it seemed OK it is not for everyone~~some people would be better off not upgrading their system~~ but now that you have the investment into the upgrade you either learn to use the system or go back to your old format~~this is up to you
  • i love vista!!! sure xp rocks... if you like living in the past. like listening to 80s music, wearing bell bottoms, watching howdie doodie on your 13" black and white tv and listening to your transistor radio. vista is a definate upgrade from xp.
  • Had it did not like it at first ,have XP right now, works just fine, thinking of upgrading back to it.+5
  • There's only one use for Vista now, and that is to get a discount on Windows 7.
  • Love it.
  • I like it much. +
  • When I had it, I didn't really like it. I now use Linux Ubuntu.
  • Sure, I like it. I've been using it since it came out, and it has given me very little trouble, much less trouble than I had with Windows XP. I'm really looking forward to the new Windows 7 - it's supposed to be even better!
