I have a 84 gmc and i changed out the 700r4 to turbo 400 3speed do i need to put a kickdown switch on it

The turbo 400 don't have a kick down on it it is done by vacum all you have to do is plug the vacum hose to the intake , but the turbo 400 has a switch on the gas pedal and the wire goes to the left side of the tran's
