  • The C-pillar supports the roof just behind the rear door (or rear side windows for two-door cars). For most cars, the C-pillars are on either side of the rear window and meet the rear of the roof. SUVs and station wagons also have a D-pillar; the C-pillar connects to the middle of the (longer) roof on those vehicles.
