• This is just an opinion, okay. Charlie's Angels.
  • Terminator. Teenage mutant ninja turtles (3) Back to the future (2 and 3 which are basically one film released in 2 parts) Lord of the rings Godfather.
  • 3:10 to Yuma is highly superior to the Glenn Ford original
  • For sequels: 1. Aliens 2 2. The God father 2 3. The Wrath of Khan (Star trek 2) 4. The Chronicles of Riddick Remakes: 1. The Chronicles of Narnia:The Lion, the Witch, & the Wardrobe 2. Dune 3. The Island of Dr. Moreau 4. King Kong
  • Man on Fire with Denzel Washington was the ultimate remake
  • The new Battlestar question at all for myself. I watched an episode of the old series a couple of weeks ago ( which when it first aired, I thought was the absolute bomb and a fav) and now...I feel that in comparison to the new version airing on TV's the absolute bomb as in how the hell can I watch this old drivel.
  • There are very few if any for sure. Godfather II was pretty decent, and I've heard good things about 3:10 to Yuma which I haven't seen yet, I think also the sequels in the star wars trilogy as well as Lord of the Rings were at least on par with the first films.
  • the startrek series generally got better...even though I didn't think so at first...
  • The Ocean's 11 remake was better than the original I think. Slick...
  • Gremlins 2: The New Batch; The Maltese Falcon; The Wizard of Oz (1939) /// Actually, there are few sequels and/or remakes I've found worthwhile. A remake of silent films generally is considered better, perhaps because we're more familiar with sound films. Sequels generally suffer. Now, there are some sequels that are very good (POTC), but I wouldn't say they're better than the originals. I'm an old-time film buff in my mid-60s; I've watched an enormous amount of films of all eras.
  • Okay here's a real oldie but goodie classic 1941 "Maltese Falcon" Earlier version 1931 . 31 version was very good but 41 one is a true classic.
  • Always - Scarface - The Departed - The Ladykillers - Total Recall - Halloween (Rob Zombie version) - Evil Dead - Aliens - 3:10 to Yuma - The Magnificent Seven (1960 version) - Father of the Bride (Steve Martin) - I Am Legend - Red Dragon
