  • Cuz u probably are on a lot of crack. Or that because the earth rotates
  • One night I noticed stars being all super sparkly and twinkling around. And then I thought I saw a fairy in the Rhododendron bush. That's when I decided that despite my insomnia, I was never taking Ambien again.
  • slow retinal input frequency?
  • You do not ... perhaps you are seeing planets or earth orbit satellites ... I can only hope they are not halucinations.
  • Its probably satellites
  • they're not moving, you are.
  • If you don't think you're seeing "shooting stars" aka space junk burning up in the atmosphere or comets or meteorites or satellites or space craft or aircraft or doves or UFOs, then this may just be your brain/eyes playing tricks on you because of the gyro effect I describe below. When you tilt your head back, your internal "gyro" (which is really just liquid filled tubes in your inner ear with tiny hairs that sense the liquid moving), the way you keep your balance is affected. You know how when you spin around real fast and stop, your eyes keep moving left to right for a bit? This youtube clip illustrates this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uUqFttMw6D0
  • shooting stars (meteors). very high aircraft. satellites.
  • If you actually see them moving, then they are not stars.
  • they could be planets :) it could have been a shooting star, or because you had drunk too much :)
  • You are not the first. Check this out: http://www.bautforum.com/astronomy/500-moving-stars-mass-hysteria.html You might find some better answers here although I myself don't buy them. I saw moving stars as well. I can tell satellites from stars and I think there is even a site where you can see where a satellite was over your area to confirm.
  • I've seen that too many times, tought I was drunk or something, but where I live (Mexico) it happens around 3 or 4 a.m. depends on the season. I see them move in the center of the sky (like looking right up)... They kinnda go from one hemisphere to the other, like a spider doing its web, in circular motions, from outer rings to center rings. My logical explanation is that close to the ecuator we see our milky way galaxy like in a vertical plane, not horizontal like it appears in the photos. At the beggining of the night we see one quadrant of the sky, as the night progresses, the earth rotates and since its axis is at 23.5 degrees it makes the stars seem to shift accroos the sky from one quadrant to the other. In other words the stars might be in one side of the sky and one by one they makes an U shape movement that lasts like 3 seconds or so, ending on the other side.
  • I saw a star doing zigzags tonight and moving upward.. My boyfriend thinks I am crazy however I saw it with my own eyes.. It was crazy and I thought it was some type of aircraft... I cannot explain or figure out what it was. After a while the shinning dulled however it still kept moving and jumping around...
  • I wonder this too-- they are really bright and sort of move really really slow and sort of twinkle red flashes every now and again-- I think it's probably aliens trying to mess with our heads or something. I imagine a small team of them up there with a telescope and a long-range laser pointer just laughing away at my confusion.
  • Because we are moving so it looks like everything else is.
  • I have seen this too lots of times this winter, and want to know what it is. a shiny object "a star" moving slowly from one place to another, sometimes becoming more bright and dimming and then disappearing out of sight. Some astronomer must know , and please tell us.
  • Last night, I was looking at the sky and all the stars were moving. So that eliminates satellites, man made objects, and aliens (which is ridiculous anyways). So my theory, is that we are just moving really fast...Which to me, sounds like bad news because I have never SEEN stars moving in my entire life. But let me tell you, they were straight mobbin across the sky..I think it's a bad sign..I mean, the world spinning that fast can't possibly be good can it?
  • i keep seeing them. They move extremely fast. Then they stop, hover around for a while. Then they change direction and speed off. This phenomena rules out shiny satellites which by the way do not stop and change their flight path. It rules out helicopters which cannot travel at those speeds, reach high accelerations and maintain such a high altitude. It rules out planes which cannot handle such high decelerations and stop in mid air. This is a close encounter of the first kind. This can only be explained by saying it was extra-terrestrials.
  • have been observing these for some years. they are happening more and more regular now to the point where i just saw 2 in one night tonight in seperate quadrants of the sky. very wierd. places with street lights over their heads would miss this sort of thing their entire life. need to be somewhere dark so that the night sky is seen clearly. ive seen them low enough to not possibly be a satellite and that was my best guess. been observing them for about 5 yrs with last year alone having 10 or so sightings. goodluck

" i seen the same thing dude... last night i went skateboarding at 12:30AM with my friend matt. at around 2:45AM (we couldn't sleep) we took a break and sat down near a tree lookin up at the sky about 5 minutes into looking up at the night sky we see a SHOOTING STAR....and 1 minute later ANOTHER!!! after this...we noticed a star moving sporadically back and forth...in circles and zigzags n shit....BY ITSELF! separate from the others VERY noticeable you could faintly see it changing colours (kinda like a burning star but...different and creepy) it would flash blue then red then white then green then it just stopped and stayed white and i swear....i like rose higher into the atmosphere or sumthing cuz it got dimmer. It even sped up...slowed down....again...VERY NOTICEABLE at this point i could only think 2 things....a satellite with the ability to hover around the earth like a ufo.....or it was a mother f**king ufo lol. we followed the star for awhile amazed and couldn't believe it. we even questioned each other if we had lost our minds....and shortly more and MORE started either appearing...or we just noticed them moving... we mentally recorded 3 of them specifically... Uno, Ion, and Tyrannus. We named them so we could tell each other which stars were moving and where. Uno and Tyrannus danced one after the other ALOT like they were communicating. and that's not all...aside from those dancing stars (they danced in an order: first uno then ion THEN tryannus...and btw they were all lined up in a triangle) aside from dancing stars, there were shooting stars (9 that entire night to be exact) and EVERY TIME....EVERY FUCKING TIME after a shooting star....a red blinking star/satellite/who knows what started floating across the sky THROUGH the constellations we were looking at....the exact ones...and every time after that happened....the stars would start dancing....again...Example: first tyrannus...then uno danced to tyrannus and then ion danced to either one of them. The order would change depending on where the red dot came from.. and if you don't believe me that's fine...but what i have to say to you is...maybe stop believing in what you read and hear and see on the tv/internet and start looking at things for yourself....for instance....look at the sky for about 3 hours or more.. and THEN come prove to me i'm wrong....who knows though maybe i will never see something like this again. all i know is...im deff going to be checking out the stars tonight =)
  • Because your actually seeing them!!! My buddy Robert and I were staring at the sky on his looking at the sky on his back porch on July 22nd, 2009. I had been previously been talking About the Ancient Astronaut Theory so we were fixated on the sky. Out of nowhere I spotted a star Flying across the sky. This thing was FAST! I jumped out of my chair and pointed it out to Robert who had already spotted it. It was the same size and brightness of a star, but moving across the sky. After it had disappeared, we were astonished to see another one, then another and another. I have told a lot of people and every night since ALL of my friends and I see the exact same moving objects. I know they are not stars moving but they look identical to a star. Whatever it is, whether it be and asteroid passing Earth's atmosphere or a UFO highway, SOMETHING is reflecting the light that I and so many others have seen moving EVERY NIGHT SINCE! You can see them too. Get away from any light source (porch light, street light, etc.) and look up at the stars right after dusk. Be patient and I GUARANTEE you will see what appears to be a "moving star".
  • I was at the beach in a very secluded part observing the sky w/ my friend tonight when i noticed a star moving, it would stay in one spot and move up, down, left, right, it would curve in its motions, move slowly and fast and come to an abrupt stop and change directions spontaniously, it was really cool to see... then we noticed another star doing the same thing, and then another... the 3 stars formed a triangle and they all moved in the same way... its impossible for it to be a space station or satellite b/c they move in one direction. Cant really explain it but very interesting... I believe they could possibly be angels. I base this off the fact that Jesus is about to return and He is at the doorstep about to call His believers home.. Who knows what the "objects" were doing and why they would switch directions for no apparent reason. Possibly preparing something... Just interesting since the triangle represents the trinity, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit... Just something to think about... I would much rather it be that then "aliens".
  • i saw the stars move 2 and it moved the opposite direction towards the universe rotation there is somthing out there and its just been covered up, in fact im starting to get scared to even look up there because last nite around 1130pm seen 3 moving in different directions and at different speeds and then disappeared
  • hii i have seen them moving not one not two five of them and if you keep erxpanding you see more aand more is extraordinary they move in diffrent motions dfrrent positions some times they go in diffrent patterns and zig zags and up and down some times slow i have told some people about this some of them belive an can see it some them not and they talk b. but there is some thing out there and i realley dont know wath that is my friend but im kind of scared i would like talking with some one about this !!
  • i saw some too they look like stars and they move real fast and usually disappear probably a satellite or something.
  • I've seen the moving stars too. There is no true explanation for them. They are too high and too fast to be aircraft. Plus aircraft ALWAYS have blinking lights on them. They change direction too frequently, stop, hover and change the intensity of their brightness at a whim sometimes fading something growing very bright so they can not be satellites or the ISS. MANY MANY People are seeing these but there is not OFFICIAL report of them anywhere and likely never will be.
  • I see them all the time in mesquite texas! and always asked that question myself, my opinion is that I don't think that those are stars; I trully believe that it is something disguising itself as a star! I have documents and videos of stars moving and people tell me that its weather ballons, but the funny thing is that mesquite can't see weather ballons. So if you see what I see than we might be experiencing something incredible!
  • they say in the book, 2.4km per blah... So, if you start at the origin, its way to fast! If you use your law of sine out at the planet, it doesn't make sense... err star, the fundies are right, its just painted up there. Jesus Jumps in and they say its "project blue beam", like we got nuke lasers and stuff, no damn way, aliens just need to be pictures in hyperverses. The wind can act like a video cards simd processors, "the breath of life"...etc. There were always right in church.
  • There are lots of things up there, and they are all moving. If a grain of dust enters the atmosphere, you see it as a "shooting star". Artificial satellites are often visible. For instance, some people make a hobby of watching for Iridium flashes. http://www.skyandtelescope.com/observing/celestial-objects-to-watch/observing-iridium-flares/ The space station is visible to the naked eye sometimes. The word 'planet' means 'wanderer'. They move.
  • Earth rotation. Earth rotates into a complete circle in 24 hours. So, 12 hours daylight and 12 hours night time. If you stare into the night when stars are out. You will see the stars switch position.
  • You did see them movinf. I notice them dancing around myself. They are not what you think my friends.
  • Some say they are ICBM's being tested at a speed of 15,000mph (24,140km/h). Others say they are visual meteors appearing as a temporary streak of light in the night sky. Either way, it is important to rely on history to describe how safe the Earth is.
