YES! In my life, it can. Even if it bought me happiness for the first few months of having the money, it still bought me happiness.
-
depends on how much you have. too much can couse unhappiness and not enough can do the same.
-
For sure. The more most people have, the more they want.
-
Put your money away. "Unhappiness" is free..
-
You can definately make another person's life unhappy with money.
-
I believe it can. According to social Darwinism... success is happiness. Success means you will survive in society. Success means you will have a good paying job. Success means you will be able to provide for yourself and your family. Success means money. Money is therefore said to buy happiness? But then... why do we feel the need to buy expensive cloths/products? to appear successful... even when you buy that new shirt you want you'll still go back to wanting something else in a few days. The happiness only lasts for a week. And that allusion of "happiness" only relies on your money. depressing isn't it? depressing = unhappiness you obtain this depression from your money therefore money can buy unhappiness. (i do a better job at explaining this usually. sry)

Yeah, but there are a lot of places you can go where you can get unhappiness for free. In fact, some people would be willing to pay you to be unhappy. It's a thriving business, actually.

I think what money brings you really depends on how you use it. It has the ability to bring you happiness or grief. If you use to to stabilize yourself to the point where you don't have to worry about things like work and can focus on the things you love to do, then it can help you to find happiness. But if you use it to gain power or just to make more money, then that isn't really going to bring you true happiness. It'll probably bring you stress ultimately if you think about it, since a lot of the time the things that can get you a lot of money can lose it for you just as well.
-
By the gram the ounce the pound. Yes it sure can.
-
only if the amount you have is never enough
-
yes, and ain't that a bitch?
-
If you suck at gambling, then yeah.
-
The lack of money can.
-
Look at that guy who won the Powerball, then his grandaughter OD'd on heroin because he was giving her money, then he gets swindled by some stripper for 500,000, then he gets sick.......Another one where they were both dead within 5 years. Money is ephemeral.
-
Money can cause unhappiness.

definitely
-
Yes, and no --any variable you can think of, for at least some in some situations.
-
Only if there's nothing to buy!
-
Sure. In countless ways. Just two examples. One guy spends money on drugs and ruins his life. Another buys golf clubs, golf cart. etc. and spends his Sunday afternoons on the golf course. Then he realizes his kids have grown too old to take to a park.

Ignoring your kids doesn't cost money. Lots of people do it for free. But the first example is perfect. -

Then the lack of attention exhibits itself in often dangerous behavior in an attempt to get attention from peers.

Yep, especially with people with poor impulse control.

It sure can, here's an example. Hard to take care of exotic pets.
-
Surely it can if you make bad choices.
-
it can make misery easier to deal with. Id rather have money and be miserable than be broke and be more miserable trust me I have a fair bit of expierence in this subject.
-
If you mean unhappiness for other people - sure. If I want someone else to be unhappy, I could do it the cheap way, but the more expensive way is probably going to be more effective!
