Where are pirate attacks most likely to occur?

Not sure about "most" likely, but the Strait of Malacca area, the South China Sea, and in around Somalia are some of the hot spots.

Usually when I hear the news about this, these places involve in many parts of Africa and the Middle East. It is everywhere of course, like South America, and parts of Autrailia, but around Africa and Middle East has been known for most pirate activity.

Yarr they are likely to occur anywhere on the high seas where law enforcement isn't likely to intercept modern day pirates with speed boats and A-K 47's wearing hooded masks. It is most likely to occur in the underdeveloped nations where a vessel is most vulnerable. Indonesia is highly prone to pirate attacks.
