no. I wouldn't trust that it was clean. I would never take food from a stranger for the same reason.
-
No way, I don't know where that's been. Never take food from strangers unless they happen to work in a restaurant!
-
no thank you
-
No way! Why would someone who was homeless be giving away food unless he either did something to it or is off his meds.
-
No! He would probably need it more. Also, I'm not really hungry right now. I digress; my first answer was better. He would need the cheeseburger more than I would. OH, AND ANOTHER THING: If I was hungry, and I did really want the cheeseburger, I would give him money anyway. Or, I would recommend that he try and sell it to one of his homeless & starving friends. I would not take it for free.
-
No but I also would not accept one from someone who wasn't homeless unless it is in a place where I buy a cheeseburger and they were working behind the counter.
-
I would take it. This does not mean i would eat it. The vast majority of homeless people may be dirty on the outside, but i have discovered that most have a good heart and once were respectable people. True, some are lazy and feed on society. But, some homeless people, use to be doctors, cpas, librarians and dentists. Most homeless people have a reason for being homeless. the most common reason, i have heard, is their ex-spouse taking all their assets and they just gave up on life. Yes, i would take the cheeseburger, but i would not eat it.
-
No. I wouldn't trust it. I don't know how old the cheeseburger is, where it has been, or what he has done with it.
-
No, but I don't think I'd take a free cheeseburger from anyone I didn't know unless it was some deal at a burger joint
-
No. Which is why I don't insult homeless people by giving them food instead of cash. Rare is the case that to do so represents anything other than an attempt to dictate the persons choice. Ie: keep them from spending the cash on booze. I give. What they spend it on isn't my business.
-
Yes I would take it. This person probably receives charity heaped with a lot of unkindness. If they made a gesture like that to me I would honor it and take the cheeseburger. It may make them feel better and perhaps give them a sense of worth if I accepted the cheeseburger from them. By doing that don't I show that their gestures of kindness have value as well?
-
Why should an offer from a homeless person be any different than an offer from anyone else? Sure, I'd take it, then invite him to join me.
-
I used to buy them instead. Not exactly the price of the stars.:-)
-
No. He needs it more than I do. Besides, I get sick easily. It's mean to suspect a stranger of being germ-ridden. Downright biased to assume that all homeless people are dirty. But there are people who have homes and normal lives, and are still nasty people. I have to take care of my health. I have a weak constitution.
-
lol, No! I'd go get him some fries!
-
Never.
-
No. I wouldn't take a cheese burger from the richest man in the world... I wouldn't take food from a stranger period.
-
no, first of all because i dont know him and also because he is homeless, he should keep it for himself, he needs it more than me
-
In order not to hurt his feelings, I would accept that and in turn would offer him two.
-
not me. who knows where his hands have been? i dont take food from strangers or even friends. I have my health to think about.
-
No, if a homeless guy doesn't want it, it's got to be bad. But then if the homeless guy just got a job at Burger King and was offering it from there, i'd take it.
-
No...because if they are homeless, why would they be offering me a free cheeseburger..?
-
Taking food you haven't seen prepared yourself is just asking for trouble.
-
1.) I don't take food from strangers. 2.) I don't eat meat.
-
Nope.
-
That'll be a no.
-
No Thanks and It's probably something bad.
-
Yes I would take it...then drive down the street and give it to the next homeless guy I saw.
-
i would tell him to find someone who actually needs the food more than me so to go and give it to one his homeless friends
-
No his stance would be too heightened, he would be in my shoes, the passerby, expected to have excess to give away.
-
yes.
-
If a homeless man offered me a free cheeseburger he wouldn't be homeless. If I learned anything while living in Minneapolis, it's that a homeless man will only beg for free cheeseburgers.
-
I'd take it yes, I might not eat it though... :s
-
no i would tell him he needs it more that i do besides i hate cheeseburgers lol but the thought is appreciated..
