  • She doesn't doesn't have to be bred at all, in fact it is healthier for her if she is spayed and will make a better sweeter pet. Bucks especially make great pets when nuetered. You didn't specify whether buck or doe but roughly a buck becomes sexually mature a little earlier than does. Maturity depends on size of rabbits. Dwarfs and mini are at about 3-4 months old and bigger rabbits are about 4-6 months. Breeding age is around 6 months old for all except giants which should wait till their 8-9 month.
  • A male has to be 7 months old if he is a medium rabbit, the female has to be 6 months old. If they are small rabbits the male has to be 8 months , the female has to 7 months.
  • Small breeds of rabbits can be breed at 5 to 6 months of age,a dn larger rabbits can be breed at 7 yo 8 months of age, the are slower to mature. I have even heard of dutches breeding as earlier as 10 weeks!
