  • Not always. They WILL need to be inspected, including measuring their thickness. Most of the time they will be servicable with nothing more than a good cleaning and (maybe) a light scuffing with a piece of sandpaper. However on some cars it's cheaper to replace the rotors than turn them. Mine cost ~$17 a piece to replace and $20-25 each to turn! If they're being removed anyways....
