-
Gone With The Wind!
-
Old science fiction movies
-
Thanks Babycakes Deux, you are talking about the movies I grew up with. And yes I do. :)
-
Some of them. Unfortunately, quite a few of them seem too dated now for my tastes. Except for the classics. I mainly mean in terms of plot, character, and dialogue. There are some massive plot holes and leaps of logic in a lot of these old movies. But, it's cool to see how things were back then. Even just the filming of any street (if the movie was made before 1970) is interesting to me.
-
All the time those are the only movies to watch.
-
Yes! I also have a thing for British mysteries.
-
All the time. Blow-Up
-
I only like some of those movies.
-
I love movies that were made in the 40's and 50's. They are great for a rainy day to curl up with some hot chocolate and a blanket. The acting is just so...interesting...the story lines are so cute. I like getting lost in time like that.
-
I love watching old movies. I can sit and watch TCM (Turner Classic Movies) all day.

1975? Old? I guess those just seem like newer movies to me but then again, I was born in the 50s LOL!!! But yes, I do like older films, especially black and white films. And if they are foreign films, even better, like old Japanese and Indian films.

Yes. Especially now that many movies are being presented in HD, they are all the more enjoyable to watch.
-
I'm more interested in newer movies, but the older ones are way better. Not many of the new movies will be viewed as classics such as the ones filmed before 1975.
-
I just watched Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, with Robert Redford, and I think that was mid-70's.
-

-
Yes, and I've seen hundreds of movies from before that time, especially the 1930s, '40s and '50s, through Netflix DVDs and some videotapes. Movies from that earlier era had better acting and less reliance on visual effects, and often better stories. The films did not have (at least until the early 1970s) gratuitous language or excessive violence, suitable for watching by anyone and thus they did not need the movie ratings now used.
-

Of course, some of them have more quality in real screen play such as Ben-Hur, The Ten Commandments, Spartacus, Hercules, Samson & Delilah, Papillon, Comboys' movies, etc. I still kept some of the re-issue cd of these movies and re-watch it.

If there is nothing on the history channel; TCM will always hook you up.
