Anything with beer in it, from main course to desserts like apple fritters. A homey beef stew made with a luscious dark beer with hearty root vegetables, maybe some stewed red cabbage on the side would be the consummate Belgian dish. Along with great yeasty waffles, especially with little broken lumps of sugar cubes in them.

LEFSE!!!! The ubiquitous flattened potato bread from Norway!! My ancestors had to journey all the way to Wisconsin to conquer the lands even colder than Norway to carve out a new life for themselves to make certain I knew how to make the stuff!! Made from milk, cream, butter, flour and 10 pounds of good Wisconsin potatoes, plus the strenght of two women strong enough to milk the cows and take out the laundry at the same time, it looks like a tortilla (or a napkin) and tastes like a bit like a buttered fried mashed potato. No Christmas would be the same with out it. God Jul and Uf Da

ghetto spaghetti Ghetto spaghetti Prep time: 5 minutes Cook time: 15 minutes Servings: 2 Spaghetti shortcut that is a step up from just plain jars or cans. Ingredients 4 ounces spaghetti, cooked 1 cup spaghetti sauce, comes in a jar 1/4 pound ground beef, browned 1/4 cup onions, browned 1 clove garlic, browned 1 tablespoon italian seasoning Directions Brown ground beef. Set aside. Brown chopped onion and diced garlic clove in same pan, adding a little oil if needed. When onions are translucent, reduce heat to simmer and add back beef and pour on the jar of sauce. Heat through, then pour on top of your cooked spaghetti noodles. Quick, easy, yum. My mother never used spaghetti sauce, she used Campbell's Tomato Soup. If you want to get truly "ghetto" you can use cut up hot dogs instead of ground beef.

the dish would have to be something that you yourself has the most positive memories with. Our brain helps us sense positive meomories with strong associations of things that we have encountered. It could be a fraqrance, a flavor, or other many sensitory detections. The key to dislpaying and sharing your culture would have to come from that one dish that made you happy. It may have been something you created or may be it came from a relatives kitchen that you enjoyed as a kid. Just remember that people are tough. They need to be wooed and impressed.
