  • I think that it's not just the US, but rather the world as well. Take the continent Europe as an example. There had been many terrorist attacks in Germany, France, the UK, and many others as well. Some will grow hungry for power, and they may see that the US is not enough. They also aim for many other countries to achieve their "goals"
  • I don't think they need to attack again. They have achieved what terrorism is meant to do. Psychological terror. We now have increased security, a nearly lawless government, a constant fear and worry of another attack. They have now taken over Iraq, which has opened a whole new can of worms. I would say that they have achieved at least some of their primary goals.
  • No they don't. The government is doing much of their job for them.
  • depends what their goals are.
  • It is not the terrorists that are the cause of the paranoia,it is the government and the media that take care of that. When one is in fear the important issues are swept under the rug, like civil liberties, the economy, homelessness, lack of proper schooling, etc. The fear is to bring support of the government to attack other countries.
  • All the terrorists have to do is say "Boo!" and Americans will fall all over themselves in fright. It costs America over a trillion dollars, that they are so afraid of things.
  • They don't need to attack the USA at all.
  • This just in, they already did. Their goal is to destroy all people and governments who do not totally adhere to their warped interpretation of Islam. I see your point in that the the dozens of attacks they have already made have resulted in some turmoil, and fragmentation of the American people. Some want to pretend there is no threat, some want to fight for what they believe in, and some don't care as long as their Ipod is working. I hold out faith that as diminished as it is the collective strength and courage that has prevailed in America in all times of crisis in the past will once again come through.
  • No. Terrorists are successful when the THREAT they represent gains them the political results they desire. This is the ultimate goal of terrorism.
  • No. They (government, media cartels, Hollywood movie empire) are now manipulating the "War on Terror" for their advantage to brainwash our society. Around the clock 24/7 propaganda about the "muslim terrorism" that will come and create a major disaster in our nation. Pure fantasies. My 2 cents.
  • Its your own government that creates the parnoia and fear within your own country. Not the muslims. Infact I don't think most muslims wake up thinking about AMerica. Listen to this advice, and turn of that AMERICAN CRAP CABLE T.V. Its the devils music I'm telling you.
  • No they don't. Our over the top reaction was giving them exactly what they wanted. We gave them our fear. But I have no doubt they will attack us in the future if they can. We need to be watchful, but not fearful.
  • Fact from fiction, truth from diction. Didn't they already score some points? You can't take liquids ion a jet, no box cutters or pen knives. You have to take your shoes off. You can't board last minute anymore. If you don't have luggage be prepared to get detained. Warrant-less wire taps, sneak and peak searches. The possibility of being detain in some gulag no charges for who knows how long because you might be a “person of interest” because someone you crossed and hardly know is on a terrorist watch list. You see a package someone forgot you freak thinking it is a bomb left to go off. With out attacking they have changed American life a lot.
  • Well since the goal of terrorist is to inspire terror, I think they're doing a very good job at it.... sadly.
