Depends on whether you want that contact. They may not have been ready when you were, due to their circumstances, preconceived ideas, fear. But to ring you because "they want something," rather than to see how you are is a bit shi"tty, unless they are just using it as a means to make contact. You could refuse the request but say it would be good to see them, see if they want to still meet. But if I was curious, I'd probably go but try to remain realistic about the situation, (don't hold any preconceived ideas or wants) you're not really going to know otherwise. We regret what we don't do, more than what we do, do.
