That clutch foot brake pedal press is the realest sh't you'll ever experience. Solution? https://youtube.com/shorts/j8Re5DND_KM?si=vo5fL07Gk0dKoPye
  • It took some "getting used to" when I first drove an automatic trans after years of gears. Now one car is an automatic and one a 5 speed so I make the switch between the 2 pretty easily. 3/8/26

Yes, my sisters like this. Still it's probably worse going from auto to manual, and you have to take your test again. It's weird how trained you are by the transmission you drive. I was saying "I can't do it, I'm brainwashed into automatic response," grabbing at the gears and putting my foot down on the clutch. In the comments on the youtube short, someone had made a false clutch pedal to avoid slamming the brake lol!
  • I recently drove an older car that the owner had lost the reaction disk out of the brake booster , touch the brake pedal it wanted to put me thru the windscreen.

Lol!!! You know the shock then. Even when my dad changed from manual to auto he was test driving it, and the car salesman kept slapping his hand away from the gear! A man slapping another mans hand, had us in stitches! To top it off as soon as my dad got in the passenger seat he completely forgot how to drive his own car, and I was having to read the dash, telling me to press brake to start, and again to move off, it was a comedy of errors. Im just relieved I'm not alone in this, my friend said you need to sit on your left leg, pretend you don't have one, and tape your hand to the steering wheel, I think I'm sticking with manual. I don't feel in control of the auto, and I can't be shooting everyone forward every time I slow down.
