  • Death is just part of the life we have to live. Thinking about it once in awhile doesn't take anything away from life, IMHO. 12/30/25
    • Shadow Of The Mind
It may not take anything away from life by thinking about death but it’s the type of thinking that can hold a person back from being positive in their life. We all live life in the moment the same way the mind should be if anyone wants to get themselves somewhere in their life.

We may be discussing 2 different ways of thinking about death/dying. I am thinking that sooner or later I will see my last sunrise or celebrate my last Christmas. I accept that as simply a part of my life story. You seem to be thinking more morose and depressive and sad about it, as though not thinking about it will somehow change it.
    • Shadow Of The Mind
I know I won’t change the fact that I could pass away at anytime but just enjoy the life I have and not think about my ending. It’s like reading a book because it’s about being in the moment and accepting an ending when it comes without it crossing the mind by focusing on the present moment.

Well, that seems pretty strange to me, but to each his own. You just go ahead and do you.
    • Shadow Of The Mind
Exactly. Each person has their own philosophy and way of thinking. It only seems strange to you because it’s not your way of thinking so each to their own.

Yes indeed, I'd say the same thing to you too.
  • Because we are mortals, and death is a part of the human experience, if not ours then others. Death and taxes.
