Yes, she named him "Klaus". Yes — something like this did actually happen, but with an important clarification. Based on current reporting, a Japanese woman did hold a wedding ceremony with an AI partner she created, but: It was NOT a legal marriage. Japan does not legally recognize marriage to software or virtual characters. 12/27/25
