Some do, my father and uncles lived hard lives and lived to 80's and 90 years old. My father was wounded by the japs (that's what he called them up until the day he died.) His brother captured by the Germans. Both of them alcoholics for much of their lives. Life was rough back then. 5/8/25

The Jewish Holocaust survivors are a good example. Also, hard workers who advance in their careers and take on more responsibility are likely to live long, healthy lives.

Sometimes, because it makes them better equipped to deal with life's hardships and still able to find purpose and joy within them.
