It hasn't lost that status. They still have ICBM nukes and can strike devastatingly anywhere in the World. They still have one of the largest economies (estimated #11 in Gross Domestic Product). According to GlobalFirepower.com, they are still the second-most militarily powerful country in the World (though China is catching up fast).

The USSR was a world power. When the USSR collapsed, there was chaos, but Russia returned to being a world power quickly, and a great deal of the reason why was the effort of Vladimir Putin. I believe this is why so many Russians still support him now. If a new president had taken office and invaded Ukraine and caused all of this economic strife, I don't think the Russian people would have stuck with the new guy. Putin is very smart, so I am honestly puzzled at what the long game with the special military operation is supposed to be. Regardless, Russia is very big and still very strong, so I would not write them off as "not a world power."

They have destroyed all the western equipment sent to Ukraine they are a world power time we the west woke up they will destroy us. If American Army is so good how come they havent won a confilict in the last 50 years? Is the US corprate machine sabotaging from with in? 50 years of interfering in other countrys politics that didn't concern the US is coming back to bit you. Brics has all ready passed the US dollar in trades
