  • Too many ways to list. For example, the widespread number of ways to get instant gratification has led us to being much less patient. Changes in the way we communicate has definitely changed the way we tend to communicate - 100 years ago, a lot of older people knew Morse code; nowadays, unless you are a ham radio enthusiast or military veteran, I doubt you'd have much value in knowing anything about it. Even in 2023, hardly anyone writes notes for other people by hand, so cursive is becoming far less common. But with the internet being so common, most children learn how to type proficiently not long after learning to read and write. Prior to 1870, no one knew how to type on a qwerty keyboard, because it didn't yet exist.
