Can anyone give me advice, I've been living at my current residence since year 2016, and I rent where I live, so my water bills have range $3000.00-4000.00 the PUC set me up a payment plan $78.00 a month, also the water bill never goes down ?

$78/month?! Is that just for municipal water? Do you live in a house full of mermaids or something? IDK, move. Or drill a well. Or repair leaky pipes. No clue why your water bill is so high, but that's unacceptable.

It does sound like it might be a leak. Check your water meter, see if it's "spinning:" constantly. * Also: contact the water company. If you tell them how many people live there and how much water you use, they should be able to give you some assistance or advice regarding how to discover the cause of very high cost bills.

make them find the leak or where the water you're paying for is going and send the bill to the land lord or who ever is using it. Didn't you say you were a plumber? Move house if they wont co-operate.

I got into a punch on with a couple of power thieves once the cheeky turn outs were staealing an 80 year old ladys power trippled her bill they did. When I disconnected their wire they came to the switchroom yelling and screaming. -

As its been happening for 6+ years if there was a leak you'd see a constant puddle some where? Go and turn your water off and wait and see who goes to turn it back on. hopefully there a tap next to your meter. I think there will be.

That's a lot of money, something isn't right, get water company to check your system, sounds like your paying everyone's water bill.

I agree with stevo. Turn off all the taps and see if its still spinning. If it is there is a leak and its your landlord's responsibility to fix it. Give him an ultimatum if you must and move out if you have to.

Chek your outside faucets and see if a neighbor has a hose attached to one of them. I admit that I've never been on a municipal water system, but 3-4 thousand bucks a month seems outrageous to me. 9/3/23
