There are all kinds of diets. You'll have to be more specific. The last I remember being told was that a serving of pasta should be the size of a cd. Many people have portion distortion issues. I used to pile my full size plate completely full and then put bread on top. It was sometimes enough food for three or four meals!! Portion sizes are where a lot of Americans make mistakes. Both in diet and money. Many eat way too much meat. Have you looked at the portion size on hot dogs? How many adults do you know that just eat one hot dog? Some people think its easier when the portions are already measured. Like a frozen dinner, or meals on wheels. I've learned that when I eat a balanced meal properly portioned I'm satisfied and not overstuffed. And when you do this regularly your stomach adjusts to the smaller size of your meals. I've also learned that two meals are enough for me. You can pm me for more tips or just to vent about having to make the changes. Its not easy! But it is important. Not just for weight, but for health.

you can eat as much garden salad as you like. Most of the fatties I know that bang on about diets I see drinking 3 or 4 cans of coke a day. If you're fair dinkum about losing weight exercise and green salad diet will get you there the salad tasts like paper but you can eat as much as you like. no more than a teaspoon of dressing.
