Why do people say "bite me!"?
It's mainly an American phrase, I believe. Used insultingly to tell someone to bug off or that you don't care. But I find it odd to retort to someone's point by inviting them to assault them in such a particularly painful way...

Its pretty rare people might say that maybe on TV. Ive never heard any one say bite me. I thought it was only Bart Simpson the says it?
