why does AC or DC matter to an incandesent globe can I ask? Never seeen a 10 volt rated globe eirther. do they exist?

Depends on the type of bulb. An incandescent bulb won't care, it just converts voltage into heat, and then heat into light. A cheap LED will convert forward current into light directly, but LED light bulbs generally contain a phosphor and a buffer, so AC power will typically still light them, even though they won't be nearly as efficient. 10 VAC is definitely not a common standard, but I've seen a few older items that use a step-down internal transformer and then use low voltage AC for indicator panel lights.
