  • They are paying tax why shouldn't they be allowed to vote? I don't understand why they have so many demented old farts that should be in old folks homes in office. At the end of the day who is going to end up paying the bills? Sold up the river by a set of demented old traitors is what I see happening.

  • When I was a young man back in the 1960's, civil war started in Vietnam. Thousands of us were drafted and sent off to fight to stop the spread of communism right out of high school. We had no say in our govt. The govt got us involved in war, but we had no say in our govt thru the elections. So, we started a movement that eventually ended up with lowering the voting age to 18. None of us knew the govt would soon stop drafting the young men. So now we are stuck with the results of our efforts with young men who are still children and can't tell you if they are a man or a woman. We should probably raise that voting age again. IMHO 5/24/23

  • You also cannot run for president if you weren't "natural born," so that excludes, IDK, clones? test tube babies? - I guess I'm not really 100% sure - but whatever case, you could still vote if you were not "natural born," but not run for president. You also cannot be elected president if you've already been president for a majority of two terms already as president, but you can still vote. I guess there is a hole in the law, which has never been addressed, and hopefully never will be, but, here's the scenario: the president is incapacitated and can no longer be president. The vice president is incapacitated and cannot serve as president. The Speaker of the House is next in line. But, say, hypothetically, that the Speaker of the House is 25 years old (you have to be 25 years old to be elected to the House of Representatives, although, technically, the Speaker of the House doesn't have to be a member of the House, oddly, as we found out before McCarthy was elected and some GOP members wanted Trump to be Speaker) - so, if the Speaker is less than 35 years old, and is, by default made president, according to the US Constitution, but ineligible for the office, due to the same Constitution, we might have a little crisis on hand. Either 1. The Speaker would serve as president despite the ineligibility or 2. The Speaker would be passed up due to the ineligibility despite the singular qualification. But, the circumstance where the Speaker has needed to serve as president has never happened, in fact, the only speaker who was even elected as president afterward was Polk. Also, no Speaker has ever been under the age of 35. So, the odds of both coinciding are maybe negligible.
