I caught my brother's pet mouse by putting a board up to the bathtub and putting pieces of chocolate up the board and in the tub. They can't climb out. You might want to try ear plugs or noise cancelling headphones (or both.) Frankly I'd get an exterminator. Mice will eat your electrical wires and the wall interiors and destroy the house. You may also want to try: "Natural Mouse Repellent Peppermint Oil. Peppermint oil is an effective method for keeping mice and rats away. ... Cinnamon. Cinnamon is another scent that mice and rats hate. ... Vinegar. The pungent smell of vinegar is also a natural way to repel mice and rats. ... Citronella. ... Ammonia. ... Bleach. ... Mothballs."

I sat and read all the diseases they carry last night, didn't sleep till 6.30am. Bathtub is an idea I didn't think of.
  • D'Con mouse poison. After they eat it, they leave the house searching for water.and die without leaving you their body to dispose of. Be sure to follow the instructions and put it in an area they frequent. The really best method is to live in an area where there are snakes. I live in a wooded area and in 25 years I've only ever once had to get rid of a mouse and then only one. I found its dead body out by my front sidewalk one frosty morning after putting out poison. .
  • as much as i dislike cats or they dislike me one of the two. a warehouse we goto have a lot less mice since a couple of cats moved in. the pest controller only comes once every 2 months now. Rat sack is mostly what the pest controller puts out.

Yes, when I was at the stables, the cats were brilliant mice catchers, they use to drown in the water buckets as well, but if they ever got into the horse feed we had to chuck the lot, as their excrement is toxic to horses.
  • Laying out peppermint teabags where you see mice. They are repulsed by the odor and they leave. I know from personal experience.
