  • Did anyone hold the US responsible for the AiDS outbreak? It's true that it originated in various breeds of monkeys in Africa. It didn't become a crisis until it became an epidemic in NYC. No one much cared when it was a bunch of Africans and Caribbeans that got sick and died. What about the 1918 flu (aka Spanish flu)? Where's the blame for that one?

The only way that China could be held accountable is if they did it deliberately. That would be very hard to prove. Exactly what do you think should have been done?

They did release it intentionally! THAT was the difference! And how do you blame the US for something that started in Africa? You're smarter than that! Exactly? I'm asking for ideas.

      1. What's the proof that it was deliberate? 2. It took a long time to find the source of AIDS infection, many people had sickened and died by then. For a long time, it was the "fault" of the gay community.

UK and Phillipines have a higher concentration of gays than the US. And we all know China has more gays than anyone. So why are you STILL blaming US?? Must have found another hater!! Too bad you can't see past your prejudice, I thought you were a smart one.

I was around during the period. It took a long time to sort out what was real and what was conjecture. Why it was originally a US disease was the theory for what seemed like a long time. I'm not referring to the present or the Chinese in respect to AIDS. I was referring to the early history and what was being said at the time. NOW, what is the proof that the Chinese deliberately released Covid to the rest of the world?

What difference does being here through it make? I've never heard anyone blame AIDS on the US except you, and I was around then, too. And I'm not taking anyone to court so I don't need proof to believe it was done intentionally. The proof is in the fact Fauci knew all about it, and China achieved their goal of deposing Trump. Fauci knew he was lying his ass off and it has been proven it started in China. Surely you admit THAT don't you? They have proven by their own laws that they don't value human life... Not even their own citizens. They've been trying to cut their population for decades. They've got plenty more where that came from... They kill anyone who disagrees with their government!

So much of your response is NONSENSE. We are usually quite close in perspective on most topics, but that about China, Trump and Fauci is really nonsense! Throughout most of the 1980s, AIDS was a mystery. And because it concentrated in NYC and California gay communities, it was "their" disease. I don't believe that other countries were as open as the US about their incidence of the disease. It wasn't until 1990's that scientists were able to understand what was going on. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yzHLwbgqsuo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FngaE1hoKao https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wVx0DDnGTkY

I think that the greater point here is that, in order for anyone to hold China accountable for Covid, 1. that entity would need to hold some power over China, 2. that entity would have to see some advantage over taking punitive action, and 3. that entity would need some articulable justification. There simply is no way to check all three of those boxes for any entity. The UN holds no practicable punitive power over any permanent members, as we've seen so many times with China, Russia, and the USA. Economically powerful nations like the USA, or larger entities like the EU, just don't really have a large incentive to go heavy against China, especially over something this shrouded. And, even if you managed to convince world governments to hear your case, there's no hard evidence that the Chinese government held any mens rea (intent to do harm). Actually, the vast majority of the world is unconvinced as to how it even started. So, just the fact that we all agree upon that the virus almost certainly came from China and that there is a notable chance that it leaked out of a lab, it's just not nearly enough to seek punitive action. Now, on the other hand, there are other angles that, I think, would be easier to discuss to some sort of agreement. The way China treated the Chinese people during lockdowns, they way they silenced dissent, the opacity during investigations - those are more clear cut problems, but, then again, it'd be difficult for US leadership to follow through on that without drawing some embarrassing comparisons.
  • That is assuming we COULD prove it. Don't worry, if proof it out there it will come out eventually. Nobody can keep this a secret this big forever.😉😉😉 I will also admit that the dial has move considerably since this discussion started. I used to be a "no way China could be responsible" person. Then I saw how quickly it mutated, and how many other symptoms it has that other viruses don't have and realized it might really be Chinese made. Also, why did China threaten scientists for speaking out? The discussion is still open. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2021/oct/13/scientists-abused-and-threatened-for-discussing-covid-global-survey-finds
  • Do you beleive that? I believe you yanks via Doctor Fauci created covid in a lab so they could pressure everyone to take the vax which is a form of population control its offical now more vaxenated people died than non vaxed so what really is it? There was a lot of sheep that line up and took their poisen that will pay the ultimate price for their stupidity by 2030 the truth will be known. No goverment has been held accountable for anything in my life time.
