  • That's not true among a pretty large segment of Christians...and probably some other religions as well. Among that segment, God talking to someone is considered either miraculous (but NOT strange)...or even COMMONPLACE (in some groups).
  • Just about everything we do or say directly affects other people to be in doubt. In a world of individualism, it's hard to accept a chosen one, because many people's actions are selfish.
  • It usually depends on the context, i.e if they are a religious believer, then usually it is in context.
