Mostly bad. In my opinion: irreligion tends to result in immorality or, at the least, amorality. Consider: when (and where) I was a teenager it was considered a huge social taboo for a girl to engage in sex before marriage, and it was considered a huge social taboo for an unmarried woman to engage in sex. Yes, I know that was a very sexist outlook, but...That's changed, despite most major religions in the U.S. teaching such moral standards...and look at all of the social problems discarding that outlook causes. Single parents struggling to make do or relying on welfare. Increased abortions. The rampant spread of STDs. The trend of the "nuclear family" disappearing. Tremendously increased divorce rates. etc. etc.
