  • Well...strictly and literally speaking: no. But I understand the gist, which is: despite changes in specific things, GENERAL things remain the same. There are still wars, despite changes in technology and tolerance of foreigners. There are still tyrants, despite worldwide pressure opposing them. There are still thieves, despite huge advances in anti-theft technology. Etc. *** Indeed: it's specific things changing that make you realize that the more general things DON'T change. Why? Because even when the specific things that change are particularly relevant to one of the more general things and intended to change that more general thing, the more general thing does NOT change..
