Army Veteran The tactic Chauvin used was legal. Let me repeat that: "LEGAL" according to the Law Enforcement Code of Ethics. Floyd didn't die as a result of Chauvin's actions - he died from an adverse reaction to the drugs he was taking. It was proven by the autopsy.
