  • No one likes it when the power goes out. However, it's a hazard of modern life. You just have to deal with it.

  • It makes me wonder about those pushing for sources of power, which have proven less reliable.
    • Victorine
"Proven" less reliable? Where are your citations on that? And when fossil fuels run out, as they will, people will be quite happy with solar, wind, and other sustainable sources of power. Fossil fuels are not sustainable, dear.

Well, you're the expert on wind. I won't even attempt to cite, dear. Not worth my time.

  • I don't like it, although I have a backup generator that can at least provide lights or run the pellet stove or the swamp cooler, whichever is in use at the time. We didn't have electricity on the rez when I was a kid. We got it in my lifetime. Now we're all used to it and don't like it when service is interrupted.

  • Especially when I wake up gasping for air because my CPAP quit in the middle of the night. But I'm prepared for such. I have candles, flashlights, books to read, crochet hooks and plenty of yarn etc. They even make hand cranked and solar powered phone chargers now. I've thought about getting one, but haven't really needed to, because it usually comes right back on.
