Admiral McRaven says in this video that simple things, like making your bed, are little accomplishments that everyone should strive for. The first little victory of the day, so to speak. And to keep working on those little victories throughout the day and your life.

Go to Walmart and buy a 3-pack of Hot Shot Bedbug & Flea Fogger Killer. Cover food-making areas and utensils set them off and leave the house for a couple of hours. An upstairs neighbor had bedbugs and the landlord dropped of a can to each apartment. It not only worked great for bedbugs (I didn't have them - it was just a precaution), but I never had a spider or ant problem for the rest of the year.
  • I took an extra mattress off mine this morning and now it is so much easier to do. And not have to climb up on it.

  • No. I am not a good carpenter. Some Amish guy made mine some 10 years ago. He also made the end tables. Beautiful craftsmanship by Marvin Yoder, Sugarcreek, Ohio.

  • Yes, and I sleep in it.
  • I used to until somewhat recently - I really should start again. It's a great self-motivation exercise.
  • Yes, and it is very easy to do so. I use a safety pin to pin my blankets and bed sheets together, so that making my bed is very easy. I learned this method from my parents, and my siblings' children do the same.
  • I don’t have the ingredients to make a bed
