Wouldn't the results prove your premise wrong educating you in the process? Isn't this the reason for experimentation to begin with?

  Should be - but I'm actually refering to the scientists determined to prove God doesn't exist. When their experiments fail they change the rules for the experiment until they get the results they wanted.
