I met her husband at a drum & base night club and spent most of the night dancing with him (my boyfriend was there too, it was all innocent) he went home and kept talking about me which really annoyed her so the next time he went there she insisted on going with him. My boyfriend bumped into them at the club first and brought them over to where I was. This chap introduced his wife to us and she seemed cold but I asked her if she wanted to come and dance. I spent nearly all night on the dance floor with her and we got on really well. She admitted that she only came to he club to suss me out but we ended up as really good friends. The 4 of us used to go clubbing all of the time. We are still the best of friends after nearly 10 years and I love her to bits.

I met my best friend John, at a local hangout bar, 20 years ago, we dated for two years, and have been best friends every since. We both bought a house 16 years ago, the same month right down the street from each other.

When I transferred to a new primary school in grade 6. We could not stand each other! We where always fighting and arguing with one another. Till I need to do a group activity with him and naturally we started talking and found out that we have a lot in common. Now we are in martic(grade 12, last year). He is like a brother to me. We work together in the school library together and enjoy each others company. He is going to become a midwife and deliver hopefully my children and be my best man at my wedding.

I met him at a concert we both performed in last October. He was seated by himself eating biscuits and because he didn't know anybody else at the concert backstage, I plucked up the courage to talk to him and help him to feel included. Got him "restarted", and now he plays lead for a church band and local Pink Floyd tribute band. #2 - from about 20 - In "PDP" (computer) room at Purdue and at DND games. We read the same sci-fi books, saw the same movies, liked the same girls, etc. Got him involved in theater department. #3 - from about 21 - In "PDP" room and at DND. I thought she was just beautiful, but she had a BF. When they broke up, I tried to "get closer", but she wanted to stay friends. We went out a few times, and talked a LOT. #4 - from about 26 - ex wife... Met at friend's apartment after I broke up with my first GF. Lived together 2-3 years, then married for 15, and two sons. We're all still good friends, though we don't see each other much. I still consider them my best friends. #5 - from about 44 - Met online. She contacted me first through IM. We talked on IM and phone a number of times. She visited a few times, moved in a few months later, we became engaged about a year and 1/2 later, and married 3-1/2 years ago.

50 years ago this year, I lived at the top of the road and my friend lived at the bottom near the shops. My Mom used to stop to talk to her Mom and we, who were 18 months old and 2 years, used to run around and play on her Mom's front garden. We are inseparable friends to this day and have seen each other through 2 marriage break ups, custody hearing for kids and a good many other things both good and bad. No one will ever replace my friend as the best friend any one could ever have. We did fall out once when we were about 8, but we still walked to school together, sat next to each other and walked home together in total silence. Neither of us remembers why we fell out or how we started talking again but we kept up the silence for 6 months. Daft beggars. LOL

In a bar. He got into an argument with some drunk and this animal waited until he turned his back and he pulled a knife and tryed to stab him. Even though I had just met my new friend a few minutes before this happened it just was not right. So like a true idiot, I stepped in and took the knife away from this would be back stabbing bastard. I got twenty four stiches in my hands and a new friend. That was almost twenty six years ago. Tommy is still my best friend to this day.
