Is this for the bride or the groom?

I'm sorry but I do not submit to the school or rules that society feels is an appropriate color to wear for ones wedding! I feel it is your day and you should be able to wear the color of your choice...Does what others think mean that much to you? It is your day and whether you wear white, beige, yellow or in my case purple (Yes! I got married in a purple wrap around dress because my water broke at 5:30 in the morning and I was to be damned if I didnt get him to city hall before our first child was born! LOL) you are the one that needs to be fuflilled on YOUR happy day!

It's your wedding, you can wear and do as you please. Jesus, you could go naked and give out invites using a flock of dung beetles (not sure how it would work, but it could be done) if you really wanted

I think it's perfectly fine. And it's your wedding, so don't let others influence you on your big day. If you want white, wear white. =)

Wear what ever you want to wear - just don't go around feeling like you have to explain yourself to the guest

White is customary for the first wedding. If you are a rebel and want to wear white, go right ahead, who is going to stop you? I am not big on registry gifts for second marriages, I feel you have all your necesssary household crap by now but if people feel like consulting it for gits, well then that is their business. For the second marriage, cash is probably a better option anyway. Not being divorced for a year yet? Hmmm, I don't think there is a set waiting period to remarry. Once the divorce is final, if the divorced person wants to marry somoene else the following day, that is their business. I just hope they choose better than the first time around.

I'd say don't wear white - it represents "purity"

Wear whatever color you want and be happy. Its YOUR day and nobody else's opinion matters in the slightest.

thats up to you what you want to wear

Yes it's OK but feel free to bad mouth him to all the guests for being such a pig to wear white. Better yet, don't go to the wedding if he has been that much of a jerk.
