  • Easiest thing in the world. +4
  • Yes, it would have easy.
  • yes +5
  • Never any problem getting beer, especially the old Brador (6.2% alc) from a pal's sympathetic older brother who routinely got us a case when we were 13-15 years old. After that, at 16, it was never a hassle getting served at any pub or bar. I only ever got carded once...on my 19th birthday. Go figure, our age here is 19.
  • Yes,people that were going into the liquor store were more than willing to buy booze when offered a tip for doing so.
  • yes, very easy, through older friends, stores that we knew checked ID but didn't care your age, and friends at liquor stores.
  • When yes, because I could go get a beer from the fridge or have a glass of wine with lunch. I could drink and so it was never a problem.
  • I never wanted any when I was underage. I had a short bout with drinking in my 50s when my wife left me but soon got over it.
  • Easy as hell, but I didn't start drinking until I was about 17. (18 is the legal age in the UK, and the age I am now)
  • yep and thats how i spend most my time (drunk)to this day
  • No. I am still underage (20), but everyone thinks I'm 15 so I will have a hard time even when I hit 21. When I lived in Paris, it was not a problem however. Now that I live in the states it is.
  • Yes, and when it wasn't, it was easy enough to make something intoxicating (but bad tasting). I've actually been considering writing some instructions on making a few bottles of beer or cider for American teenagers. I need to research how to do it with supermarket products a little more.
  • When I was 14 me and my friends found this store owned by Arabs in one of the low income neighorhoods that didn't care about age. We called the guy "Bossman", his wife wouldn't ring us up but she would allow him to, we spent ALOT of money in that store. About 5 of us would go there and buy a couple of boxes of Olde English malt liquor and St Ives quarts. We would do that every weekend! It took exactly 1 and a half quarts of St.Ives to see everything spinning followed by hugging the toilet. Sometimes if I was feeling really daring I would get MD 20/20, yuck! I remember the taste like it was yesterday. We would also buy cigarettes, blunts, papers etc. I remember riding the city bus there with a couple of friends and filling our backpacks with quarts and getting totally wasted on the bus, two of my friends passed out on the bus and the driver left them there from 11am to 8pm, then they got kicked off. ... Good Times :)~
  • Yes.There was always someone willing to contribute to the delinquency of a minor.
  • It was fun then to put make-up on and go in the pub, then when it was legal it was boring, lol
  • Yes, I had my first drink in a pub at the age of 16, in a country where the legal drinking age is 18. Mind you, my brother bought me it, and I probably wouldn't have been served myself. Years later, in my early 20s, I was refused service in an off-licence because I didn't have ID on me.
  • yes. very easy.
  • Yeah, there was a store that all of the people at my school knew would sell just about anybody alcohol. Funny thing is, I used to drink alot when I was 18-20. When I turned 21, I just lost interest in it. Not sure if my age played a part in that, or if it just because of how I have always been. I am a pretty curious person, but if I find something uninteresting I will just purge it from "my world". Today, I might drink [1] alcoholic beverage in a years time. This year, I had 1 sip from a Sam Adams (I absolutely did not like it), and I had a Mojito (I thought it was rather tasty, but I couldn't finish the entire drink).
  • I used to head to the shop on the friday after school and just change my school tie for a tie i used for going to interviews etc, and loosen the shirt off, going for the hard day at the office look. Then id leave my school blazer with the mates outside, head into the shop and pick up whatever we wanted and buy it no questions asked. That was when i was about 15, nearly 16. A few of us also started going to the pub when we were 15 to, we were there most weekends and knew all the locals and would have a right laugh, it was absolutely brilliant. Nowadays sitting in a pub i find boring and i dont drink that much either now, I think the novelty kinda runs out when its legal for you to buy alcohol.
  • I used to make it a game to see what store would card me. A tape measure on my pocket and a newspaper and six pack on the counter worked every time!
  • Yep! My friends older Sister worked in the local off license or 'Offie' as we used to call it (Liquor store)so it was always easy to purchase! :-/
  • It sure would have been. But I never asked for it when I was under age. +5
  • Never had trouble buying it at certain establishments.
  • Very easy
  • Fraid so. At 14 I got served in a pub.+5(BAD DRAGON)
  • Yes it was for me so i had no problems but i wasn't really into drinking a few years back.
  • Yes very easy +5
  • ha! don't make me laugh. i was hittin smirnoff at 14 xD
  • I still am under the legal drinking age and yes its very easy to get alcohol.. had some last night!
  • Yeah, if we really wanted it. For most of my adolescent life I lived in this slummy area lol, so we could usually get some by getting someone to buy it for us, or sometimes we stole it lol. There was this bar that kept beer cases outside in the back sometimes, so we went to do little rounds over there and make off with a case lol.
  • very easy. as long as we had money we could get pretty much anything. But i still chose not to.
  • yes the first time i got it was when i was about 10 when i was 13 or 14 my local shop keeper would sell it to me what a friendly asian man he was
  • Yes, no problem at all. Started drinking at 13. If it wasn't from a parents cabinets it was just a matter of tapping shoulders outside a liqueur store.
  • I never wanted it but kids always seemed to be able to get it.
  • Yes, I could purchase it anywhere I went. I came home after drinking beer with my friends once when I was 14. My father could smell it! He knew what it was and he was very pissed; needless to say. He wanted to know where I got it. When I told him I purchased it myself, he didn't believe me. He drove me to the package store, gave me some money and told me to go get some. I thought he was going to pass out when I came back with it.
