      In Jer. 3:8 The Lord God gave Israel a bill of divorcement. Although Judah had also committed adultery the Lord God did not give her a bill of divorcement. so in essence Lord God had two wives. See KJV. If you google, "God's two wives" you will come up with a raft full of answers.
