Wow, just having seen that ad on my mobile, I know I'll watch out- How the hell did that get there without me noticing....
-
Mensan I am on the same page as you. I hope it works. Unfortunately in our Society people seem to be clueless about most things until it affects their Family.
-
Wow! I think they just might.
-
The most dangerous thing on the planet isn't some Islamic terrorist. The most dangerous thing on the planet is a young woman behing the wheel of a car, texting or talking on a cell phone.
-
Let's hope it will but most teens keep the attitude "it won't happen to me" until it does. So I am not sure that it will make a big difference though I hope it does.
-
Hopefully it will have some effect; but alas, many teens feel they are "invincible." Granted, they have quick reflexes; but quick reflexes won't save you if you're not paying attention...we can only hope it may save a few lives - a few is better than none.
-
This will surely help a few, and I guess that is worth the effort. I wish it would help them all, but kids just don't understand yet that they are mortal. How do you reach the majority that don't understand how the world works yet?
-
well that doesn't seem to pull any punches. Who knows, one can only hope. Mind you, I've never seen that ad anywhere but Youtube... and ads is a damn expensive way top get a message like that out. Maybe if it goes viral it will help but otherwise I expect too few will see it to be very useful.
-
That is pretty powerful. Wow!
-
I hope so. I think most people don't realize how the distraction can kill them instantaneously.
-
it just may, its a shocking thing but im shure it has happend in real life so thats how they got the idea for the TV ad. but i dont think it will hit the most people it should for people dont think it will happen to them. it the way they think that will get them hert in the long run.

I wonder why none of these type of startling ads are made in America? Is there some sort of "don't take away my [texting] freedoms" mentality?
-
I really don't think so, but I hope it does. I've seen drivers texting while going down the road at 70+ mph. +5
-
I think the ad overstates the on-the-street problems and leaves out the most serious danger - that of using the thing while driving. . As far as execution it's a fine piece of work, perhaps a little more 'Teen Angel' than I'd like but the target audience probably won't notice.
-
Very sad..... +5
-
Wow....Only in Britain...O___O You know what this reminds me of, that commercial in America where those 2 kids are high on meth and lost in the snow - they cant tell the 911 operator where they are and they freeze to death.
-
Yes I agree. I hope it does because it's always so bad to hear sad news that happens in the streets nowadays.
-
We have just had one made here in UK about a car full of teens with the driver texting. made by police and teens. very graphic. will try to find it. we have many graphic ads like that.
-
We have very hard hitting ads here. cant find the one on e texting while driving that the police made but here is a speeding one,
-
People will continue to text while they are driving until the consequences actually happen to them.
-
saet belt advert, Graphic.
-
Now another similar commercial is needed for those who do it in the car. I'm not sure the texters can make that flying leap. +5
-
Is this a UK ad?
-
I think it makes the point very well but even better would be a driver texting and running over a little kid cause they we not paying attention. It won't stop any of them though. The old. "it can't happen to me" syndrome is still in force for most of the population.
-
another seat belt ad
-
Just found the one I was looking for made by Gwent police and local school.
-
I hate to one-up you, but... http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/1662205 I like this one better ;)
-
WOW, people don't usually even register that texing is dangerous while walking, driving and texting is illegal in many states...but this takes it to a new level...BRAVO ENCORE!!!
-
They won't get it! I was almost hit by a texting driver the other day! What kind of an idiot do you have to be to try to text while driving? Apparently many are doing it. I wish it was a $500 ticket!
-
This is the worst one that I have ever seen and I actually think that they will get the message.
