  • Yes,Jehovah's Witnesses are a supremacist faith.I was baptized in 1967 and exited in 1992 due to this arrogant egotistical Watchtower dogma.
  • I am a baptized Witness. I believe that Jesus established the Christian Congregation in the first century and trained his disciples on how to carry on His work after His death. The Bible says there was just the “one Lord, one faith, one baptism.” (Ephesians 4:5) Did God ever use more than one organization during any period of time? In Noah’s day only Noah and those with him inside the ark had God’s protection and survived the floodwaters. (1 Peter 3:20) Also, in the first century there were not two or more Christian organizations. God dealt with just the one. Likewise in our day Jesus Christ foretold that there would be only one source of spiritual instruction for God’s people. When telling of his presence in Kingdom power, Jesus said: “Who really is the faithful and discreet slave whom his master appointed over his domestics, to give them their food at the proper time? Happy is that slave if his master on arriving finds him doing so. Truly I say to you, He will appoint him over all his belongings.” (Matthew 24:45-47) God is a God, not of disorder, but of peace,” wrote the apostle Paul, in correcting the disorderliness of the congregation in ancient Corinth. In the same context, he asked: “If the trumpet sounds an indistinct call, who will get ready for battle?” (1 Corinthians 14:8, 33) Why would God his followers to be so divided today? Certainly, Satan has been at work oppressing and diving ones who try to follow the Christ. That is why Jesus and his disciples warned us of the great apostasy.
  • How can we identify the True Religion? How can 'the road to life' be found? Jesus said that the true religion would be evident in lives of the people who practice it. "By their fruits you will recognize them," he said. "Every good tree produces fine fruit." (Matthew 7:16, 17) In other words, those who practice the true religion would be recognized by their beliefs and their conduct. Although they are not perfect and they make mistakes, true worshipers as a group seek to do God's will.
  • No, I'm not. I do not wish to be.
  • Learn more about jehovas witnesses @ www.watchtower.org We look forward in you becoming close with the Almighty Jehojah god.
  • No, I never was, and I'm glad I wasn't! I get rated down for answering and shunned for now believeing differently, now that's tolerance!
  • I was Baptized in 1973 and just in the nick of time to avoid being destroyed at Armageddon in 1975- and that is what 99% of JW's believed back then- we were right and everyone else was wrong. I just received a tract from Jehovah's Witnesses six months ago warning me that the end of false religion is near. Yes, it does seem that there are a lot fewer cars in the Kingdom Hall parking lot lately. I sure wish I had been able to research JW's on the Internet back in 1973, it would have saved me 15 years of grief and over 10,000 hours of time wasted in working for the Watchtower Society, studying and selling their literature. I now believe that no religion has a patent on the truth. update: today, things are great- my kids finished college and have good jobs. My JW ex-wife who divorced me decided 10 years ago that the WT was not the true religion after all. My new wife and I adopted an orphan from Russia in 2003. She is in 2nd grade now and doing great. We are grandparents, but decided to raise another family and it has been worth every sacrifice to hear her say, "I luv you mama & papa" each night when we tuck her in.

Well, I don't know which Kingdom hall you are referring to, but quite the opposite is true. There are now well over 8 million True Christians compared to 1975. I was baptized in 1984 and there was only 3 million then. Matthew 24 v 14 Jesus said that "this Good News of the Kingdom has to be preached in ALL the inhabited earth, and then the end will come." There are not many places where the witnesses have not been and even then people find the True religion, so now is the time to return to Jehovah while there is still time. As for 1975, that was a misconception brought about by those who were selfishly serving God, not for the love of him. I have studied this topic thoroughly and I can assure you, that at no time did the Organisation specify that 1975 was the end of the system. What they did say was that it was 6,000 years since the creation of Adam and that Jehovah is now "resting". Read Genesis 2 v 2 & 3. There are only a couple of prophecies left to be fulfilled. 2 Timothy 3 v 1-5 is certainly being fulfilled in our day. We are living in critical times hard to deal with. People are selfish, greedy, arrogant, disobedient, etc. Soon the cry of "peace & security" will sound out and tribulation will be upon us. I am sure your study of the Bible touched on these things.
  • Yes I am, and yes I do. That does not stop me from looking at things from different viewpoints, but I know enough to stay away from people similar to the ones posting here that simply bash ones choice of religion. If you choose to leave the Jehovah's Witness organization (which being disfellowshipped is a choice, the person chose not to follow biblical rules) then ok, you made your choice and left. Don't try to bring everyone down with you. Misery loves company. When someone starts off by claiming that JW's are cults, I know where they are going with their comments and they aren't worth my time to bother with. When someone truly wants to know because they are interested in what we believe, I'm glad to share, but seldom is that the case online. I never visit the "Jehovah's Witness" section, and seldom answer questions in that section, because they are mostly people trying to bash us, or trying to bait an argument. People are going to believe what they want and they are going to say what they want. My goal here isn't to preach, I do that on a one-on-one basis, not in a forum where people are intent on bashing one another. The Bible is too serious a topic for me to be monkeying around with a bunch of haters. The other thing that bothers me are supposed 'free thinkers' who call JW's closed minded and (particularly in this thread) defend those who bash us and then play the victim when JW's try to defend themselves, pointing at us and calling us the bad guys. On this site you don't see JW's calling athiests evil, saying they'll burn in hell, etc., or starting topics bashing any other religion, those are members of other Christian faiths out there doing that... yet here we are... targets of peoples UNPROVOKED hatred, people with a grudge, or some personal vendetta. My religion is a very important part of my life, just like my family. I take it very personal when someone bashes my religion as much as if they bashed my family. I normally stay out of the Jehovah's Witness section, but I could not pass this one up, because it deals with my identity and my identity as a Jehovah's Witness effects every aspect of my life. Some of you know me and my comments and understand that I do consider many different viewpoints, and hopefully you see that most JW's are very open minded and it is usually the ones that are 'former' JW's that are close minded or have one goal in mind... to attack their former religious choice instead of just marking it off as another life decision they made and apparently corrected in their viewpoint. Our definition of Apostate is not someone who leaves our faith, but someone who leaves and decides to actively oppose it and try to pursuade others to leave also.
  • Yes, it is the true religion. If it is not I would be seeking the true religion. But having compared the many religions. I find that the other ones are far from the truth.
  • Perryman - I know you saw this coming - John 1:1 says "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word [[[was God]]]." I know many theologians that have translated from the original text.
  • edit, sorry I meant to post a comment and instead I accidentally wrote it in the answer box. I have removed it now because duplicate anwers are not fair.
  • If I wanted to go to work for a fortune 500 company like say,Bill Gates Microsoft I would listen to critics and any disgruntled employees and all praise too. Remember Enron and Worldcom [I was born 1957 as a 3rd generation Jehovah's Witness I gave them 33 years of my life] My personal blog http://www.dannyhaszard.com
  • Yes, I am baptized as one of JW's and OF COURSE I believe it the "only true religion"!!!! How sad for someone to be a member of an established relIgion and NOT believe it is the only true one! If one believes ALL religions are "true" he's really got a problem explaining the contradictions and different doctrinal teachings. That is exactly why there is so much apathy regarding religion today.
  • Yes!!!!!!!
  • The Bible does not agree with the modern view that there are many acceptable ways to worship God. Ephesians 4:5 says there is “one Lord, one faith.” Jesus stated: “Narrow is the gate and cramped the road leading off into life, and few are the ones finding it. . . . Not everyone saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will.”—Matt. 7:13, 14, 21; see also 1 Corinthians 1:10. Repeatedly the Scriptures refer to the body of true Christian teachings as “the truth,” and Christianity is spoken of as “the way of the truth.” (1 Tim. 3:15; 2 John 1; 2 Pet. 2:2) Because Jehovah’s Witnesses base all of their beliefs, their standards for conduct, and organizational procedures on the Bible, their faith in the Bible itself as God’s Word gives them the conviction that what they have is indeed the truth. So their position is not egotistical but demonstrates their confidence that the Bible is the right standard against which to measure one’s religion. They are not self-centered but are eager to share their beliefs with others.
  • I think every religion feels they are the TRUE religion. Honestly, think about it. I haven't made a dedication to any religion. I want to learn about God and not traditions of any religion.
  • I avoid dedication to any religion because, Jesus was not part of a congragation he was a teacher of what God desires from his people. There were not divided churches/Halls (except for the Jewish people who follow the old Testement) - just learning. I know Jesus made a convenant with the apostles, but he did not dedicate them a denomination they were followers of Christ. Not Baptists, Catholics, Jehovahs Witness or any other. They simple followed Christ. Humans later made up different followings upon what they felt the Bible ment. I would just rather follow what the bible teaches with the guidance of God. So, what is true religion anyway??
  • yes -- look around, so many other professed "christian religions" are killing each other in war because of the side they are on. Really, the only side to be on is Jehovahs and Jehovahs alone.
  • I am a baptized Witness.Let me pose a question as part of my overall answer.Does the church you attend (proudly) display the flag of your nation?Does it have a big cross displayed? Does your church (proudly)send its young men to fight and die for their country? Do your members all (proudly)vote in the local and national elections? Well! Jesus Christ had a few things to on say on these subjects. (John.15:19)" If you were part of the world, the world would be fond of what is its own.Now because you ARE NO PART of the world, but I HAVE CHOSEN YOU OUT OF THE WORLD,on this account the world hates you." That of course would be the true followers of Christ.I think that it has been firmly established that in the book of Revelation that Babylon the great represents the world empire of false religion.(at least to most reasoning persons)So in Rev.18:4,5 the Bible clearly tells us what needs to be done in order to survive the Great Tribulation that is soon to come upon the Earth. Although I really dont like to say "I have the only true religion"I really belive that I indeed do.Not because Im brain washed or cohersed, but because Ive studied the Bible ceaslesly and found this originaztion to be the one that tells the truth. One never stops learning when studying the Holy Scriptures, the more you grasp and learn you realize how much you still have to learn. And that is a wonderful realization because one can never learn all there is to learn about our Grand creator Jehovah God,and he will give he followers an eternity keep learning.
  • Doesn't any 'devoted' person feel they belong to the true religion...no matter where they worship? This question was created, not as informative, but to portray JW as arrogant!
  • I witness for Jehovah but Im not a member of the WatchTower Bible and Tract Society. There is only One True Church.
  • No.BUT don't speak bad of them.
  • God loves all people not just one religion or belief.
  • No. I have never and will never believe that there is any certain sect . I know that Jehovah knows our heart and only he can judge us. There are many people who believe in God and Jesus and strive to be like Jesus told us we should be. We all fall short, so did the apostles. I wonder what sect Noah, Abraham, Job were?
  • Yes. 1 year in If the love of God is not in you nothing will work. Some Elders get up my noise, but I just deal with my 50% of the problem with the scriptures. Its not about being right or wrong its about beening faithful to what God says through the bible. I meet alot of people that don't like JW's thats life
  • i am convinced 200% that i have the true religion. the religions of this world, especially the ones that label themselves "christian" have taught their members that it does not matter what religion they are. thus, people believe that there many roads to gain God's approval. they are taught that all religions are good since we all worship the same god. part of satan's system are world-wide religions. because of them, it has been very hard to convince people that God only approves of one religion. it is very sad that many claiming to know their Bible think that they don't have to search out the true religion. they have been advised not to listen to us. sadly, many do not understand how this is all a conspiracy for them to not listen to the message of the good news. the apostle paul in 2corinthians 4:4 said that satan has blinded these so they could not recognize who actually has the truth. he has done an excellent job of blinding many, if not most. many do not want to acknowledge that Jehovah's witnesses have the truth because it would mean that they would have to make many changes. the life of a true christian Jehovah's witness entails many sacrifices. we do not live for ourselves anymore or for materialistic selfish pursuits. Jesus Christ is our model, and we as imperfect as we are strive to become more like him, imitating his example of service to his God and Father. we focus our efforts to help any who allow themselves to be taught about God's kingdom and how very soon it will put a stop to all suffering. this is what Jesus taught. the focus in his ministry was to preach that the kingdom of God was at hand, and its message. we know most will not listen to our message, even so we are not our there for them but to magnify Jehovah's name and his purposes, this is what the true religion is all about.
  • Idk, but my dad's friend recently made most of my family Jehovah's witnesses...I'm the only one left = Yes, they think they are the true religion, all these fights since my aunt isn't a Jehovah's Witness. *sighs* All religion brings is false hope and more arguments...
  • Yes since 1959 and never doubted once that it was not the truth , I am thankful to Jehoah for letting me see the truth.
  • Yes since 1959, and very thankful to Jehovah for letting me see the truth .
  • Hi tabithap5, because satan is behind the opposition of J.W.'s ,Revelation 12, describes satans ousting out of the heavens , having only a short period of time left before he is abyssed for the 1000 yrs, so naturally as the scriptures show he will oppose the true religion as much as he can to try and stop ones serving Jehovah. Rev.12:7 And war broke out in heaven: Mi′cha·el and his angels battled with the dragon, and the dragon and its angels battled 8 but it did not prevail, neither was a place found for them any longer in heaven. 9 So down the great dragon was hurled, the original serpent, the one called Devil and Satan, who is misleading the entire inhabited earth; he was hurled down to the earth, and his angels were hurled down with him. 10 And I heard a loud voice in heaven say: “Now have come to pass the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ, because the accuser of our brothers has been hurled down, who accuses them day and night before our God! 11 And they conquered him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their witnessing, and they did not love their souls even in the face of death. 12 On this account be glad, YOU heavens and YOU who reside in them! Woe for the earth and for the sea, because the Devil has come down to YOU, having great anger, knowing he has a short period of time.”
  • The scripture from various bibles did not fit in the cooment box so will post in this: NEW LIVING TRANSLATION REVELATION 12: 7 Then there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon and his angels. 8 And the dragon lost the battle, and he and his angels were forced out of heaven. 9 This great dragon—the ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, the one deceiving the whole world—was thrown down to the earth with all his angels. 10 Then I heard a loud voice shouting across the heavens, “It has come at last— salvation and power and the Kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ.[a] For the accuser of our brothers and sisters[b] has been thrown down to earth— the one who accuses them before our God day and night. 11 And they have defeated him by the blood of the Lamb and by their testimony. And they did not love their lives so much that they were afraid to die. 12 Therefore, rejoice, O heavens! And you who live in the heavens, rejoice! But terror will come on the earth and the sea, for the devil has come down to you in great anger, knowing that he has little time.”
  • yes I'm been for 33 yrs, & if I thought for one minute that we were being mislead I would leave for a more convient religion. but those answers just prove what Jesus said would happen (Matthew 7:13-14) 13 “Go in through the narrow gate; because broad and spacious is the road leading off into destruction, and many are the ones going in through it; 14 whereas narrow is the gate and cramped the road leading off into life, and few are the ones finding it. (Luke 13:23-24) . . . He said to them: 24 “Exert yourselves vigorously to get in through the narrow door, because many, I tell YOU, will seek to get in but will not be able, (Matthew 7:21-23) 21 “Not everyone saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will. 22 Many will say to me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and expel demons in your name, and perform many powerful works in your name?’ 23 And yet then I will confess to them: I never knew YOU! Get away from me, YOU workers of lawlessness.
  • Yes, I am a baptised Witness and have been since 1984. I have been a RP since 1985. And Yes, I do feel that this is the true religion. If it felt it wasn't I would have left a long time ago. I was brought up as a Protestant in a religiously divided household. My mother was a Protestant and my father was a Catholic. My grandparents were Baptist. I found the JWs answered the questions I had from the Bible and they differed entirely from the various ideas I had been taught by my family. Jehovah God is a loving God, and my children have been brought up as JWs. They chose to be baptised when they were of an age, they were not coerced. They have never felt afraid of the Truth, the Brothers, or of Jehovah.
  • Yes, however at this moment there are not any identifiable true Christians.* The revealing of the sons of God (or who is the faithful slave?) does not take place until Jesus 'parousia' which the Watchtower incorrectly teaches that the first aspect of it was back at 1914-1919. The Watchtower however does correctly state there are two parts to the 'parousia'. The first is the cleaning and refining of his chosen ones, in several illustrations such as the weeds pulled from the wheat. The second is the separation of the nations, dependent on their treatment of the chosen ones as seen in the illustration of the sheep and the goats. The first part has not taken place yet because other events still must occur which has not been seen on the world stage, such as the fall of the 7th king. The rebirth of the 7th king, it giving its power to the 8th king, Babylon the Great controlling the 8th king, and so on. *By definition Christian means anointed follower or one who is anointed by holy spirit to rule next to Christ.
  • I am not. I was baptised in the Congregational church. I went to a Lutherin college. But I am an atheist or agnostic depending on your interptetation. Scientologist, moslems, born again christians, hindu all feel they are the true religion. How am I to judge you are the true religion? Because you say so? Religious zealots are the most dangerous kind. They are killing our soldures in Irag at this moment.
  • If there is one true religion what would they be doing? Would they go to war with someone just because the president of their country says they should? Would they give their allegiance to the flag of their own country and no other, or would they look to Gods kingdom that Jesus told all christians to pray for (Matt 6:9,10)? Would they let the traditions of men override Gods commands, or would they in no way participate in anything that had to do with paganism(Mark 7:13)? Would they consider what Jesus had instructed his disciples to do back then as their own commission today; telling all people and nations of the coming kingdom and what it will accomplish (Matt. 28:19,20)? Would they make known the name of Jesus' Father as he did (John 17:6) or would they stick to Jewish superstition and call almighty God "Lord" as they call his Son which he created? To be the one true religion they would have to be sure that all teachings would have to be based strictly on the bible. This true religion would have to be united worldwide and have the love among themselves that Jesus said would mark his people (John 13:34,35). I will tell you a story about a man who thinks that he is a member of the true religion. His name was Pyotr Krivokulsky, a Ukrainian. Pyotr had studied at a seminary before he studied with one of JW. He recognized that he had now heard the truth. Since it was an athiestic country now he could not really study, preach, or even possess any bible literature. He refused to join the war against the germans because of his bible based beliefs. Because of this he was beaten in the streets until he lost consciousness, sentenced to death before a firing squad. He ended up not being killed because the person that was going to kill him ended up being killed himself. Then the Soviet army wanted him to fight for them, he refused and was put in front of a firing squad again but the soldiers fired in the air and he got beat by one of the officers. He was sentenced to 10 years in the labor camps. Freed in 1956 he married a JW named Regina. Six months later he was unexpectantly arrested and sentenced to another 10 years. When he was in prison he conducted bible studies with 4 inmates. A gaurd caught them and the 4 inmates were each given 25 year sentences in the camps. Pyotr was given an additional 25 years on top of his 10 year sentence and 10 years of exile. They all thanked Jehovah for supporting them in those times. There are many stories like this around the world. I think Pyotr thinks he has the truth.
  • there is no True Religion in MY faith in God. I was baptized into Christ, Jesus Church, HIS BODY, it is not a denomination or a building . Only HE can add and only HE can take away.... I attend worship but never would i attend a place that were so boastful as to DECLARE they are the only true religion....
  • What is false religion? Are you distressed about crimes committed in the name of religion? Do the warfare, terrorism, and corruption perpetrated by those who claim to serve God offend your sense of justice? Why does religion seem to be at the root of so many problems? The fault lies, not with all religion, but with false religion. A widely respected religious figure, Jesus Christ, indicated that false religion produces bad works, just as a “rotten tree produces worthless fruit.” (Matthew 7:15-17) What fruit does false religion yield? False Religion . . . MEDDLES IN WAR AND POLITICS: “Across Asia and beyond,” says the journal Asiaweek, “power-hungry leaders are cynically manipulating people’s religious sentiments for their own needs.” As a result, the journal warns: “The world threatens to sink into madness.” A prominent religious leader in the United States declared: “You’ve got to kill the terrorists before the killing stops.” His solution? “Blow them all away in the name of the Lord.” By contrast, the Bible says: “If anyone makes the statement: ‘I love God,’ and yet is hating his brother, he is a liar.” (1 John 4:20) Jesus even said: “Continue to love your enemies.” (Matthew 5:44) How many religions can you think of whose members engage in war? SPREADS FALSE DOCTRINE: Most religions teach that the soul or spirit is some invisible part of a human that survives the death of the physical body. By means of this teaching, many of these religions exploit their members, charging money to pray for departed souls. However, the Bible teaches a different doctrine. “The soul that is sinning—it itself will die.” (Ezekiel 18:4) “The living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all.” (Ecclesiastes 9:5) Jesus taught that the dead will be resurrected—an unnecessary action if humans had an immortal soul. (John 11:11-25) Does your religion teach that the soul does not die? TOLERATES IMMORAL SEX: In Western lands, church groups ordain gay and lesbian members of the clergy and urge governments to recognize same-sex marriages. Even churches that condemn immorality have tolerated religious leaders who have sexually abused children. What, though, does the Bible teach? It plainly states: “Do not be misled. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men kept for unnatural purposes, nor men who lie with men . . . will inherit God’s kingdom.” (1 Corinthians 6:9, 10) Do you know of religions that condone immoral sex? What does the future hold for religions that produce rotten fruit? Jesus warned: “Every tree not producing fine fruit gets cut down and thrown into the fire.” (Matthew 7:19) Yes, false religion will be chopped down and destroyed! But how and when will this happen? A prophetic vision recorded in the Bible book of Revelation, chapters 17 and 18, provides the answer. False religion exerts influence “over the kings of the earth” “Get out of her, my people” How will false religion end? Picture the scene. A harlot is sitting on the back of a fearsome beast. The beast has seven heads and ten horns. (Revelation 17:1-4) Whom does the harlot represent? She exerts influence “over the kings of the earth.” She dresses in purple, uses incense, and is exceedingly wealthy. In addition, by means of her spiritistic practice, ‘all the nations are misled.’ (Revelation 17:18; 18:12, 13, 23) The Bible helps us to see that this harlot is a worldwide religious entity. She depicts, not any one religion, but all religions that produce rotten fruit. The beast that the harlot rides pictures the world’s political powers.* (Revelation 17:10-13) False religion straddles the back of this political beast, attempting to influence its decisions and to control its direction. Soon, though, an amazing event will take place. “The ten horns that you saw, and the wild beast, these will hate the harlot and will make her devastated and naked, and will eat up her fleshy parts and will completely burn her with fire.” (Revelation 17:16) In a sudden, shocking move, the world’s political powers will turn on false religion and completely destroy her! What will prompt this action? The Bible book of Revelation answers: “God put it into their hearts to carry out his thought.” (Revelation 17:17) Yes, God will call false religion to account for all the despicable acts she has committed in his name. In a stroke of perfect justice, he will use her political paramours as his instrument of execution. What must you do if you do not want to share the fate of false religion? “Get out of her, my people,” urges God’s messenger. (Revelation 18:4) Indeed, now is the time to flee from false religion! But to where can you flee? Not into atheism, since its future is also bleak. (2 Thessalonians 1:6-9) The only haven is within true religion. How can you identify true religion? How to identify true religion What good fruit should true religion produce?—Matthew 7:17. True Religion . . . PRACTICES LOVE: True worshippers are “no part of the world,” are not divided by race or culture, and display ‘love among themselves.’ (John 13:35; 17:16; Acts 10:34, 35) Rather than killing one another, they are willing to die for one another.—1 John 3:16. TRUSTS GOD’S WORD: Instead of teaching “tradition” and “commands of men as doctrines,” true religion bases its doctrine on God’s Word, the Bible. (Matthew 15:6-9) Why? Because “all Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight.”—2 Timothy 3:16. STRENGTHENS FAMILIES AND UPHOLDS HIGH MORAL STANDARDS: True religion trains husbands to ‘love their wives as their own bodies,’ helps wives to develop ‘deep respect for their husbands,’ and teaches children to ‘be obedient to their parents.’ (Ephesians 5:28, 33; 6:1) In addition, those entrusted with positions of authority must have exemplary morals.—1 Timothy 3:1-10. Does any religion meet these standards? The book Holocaust Politics, published in 2001, says: “If more people practiced versions of what the Jehovah’s Witnesses preach and practice, the Holocaust could have been prevented and genocide would scourge the world no more.” Indeed, in 235 lands, Jehovah’s Witnesses do not just preach the Bible’s moral standards—they live by them. We urge you to ask Jehovah’s Witnesses to help you learn what God requires of you so that you can worship him acceptably. Now is the time to act. Do not delay. The end of false religion is near!—Zephaniah 2:2, 3. Note: I am not a Jehovah's Witness yet, but I think it's pretty obvious that they practice true worship. They are the only group of people that truly follow bible scriptures. They are one of the most persecuted religions and soon will be the only one left to be persecuted. The Watch Tower and Tract Society also made the most accurate modern-language translation of the Bible known as the New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures.
  • im an x witness i still not sure whether they r ot not can find faults i nevery thing u belong to im still searching but may go back i owe it to myself to learn other religeons but as long as i remember jesus is the only one to take notice of to get to the truth
  • yes im baptized but fell away about 10 years ago does not mean they r not the true religeon
  • Can you back up your teachings directly from the Bible? Is Jesus the arch-angel Michael?
  • Yes i am i was baptized Feb of this year. It was the best thing that I have ever done i felt so good especially when I was getting baptized. Of course I feel that way as do any witness. I believe this because NO other religion does the preaching work, if they do they are not preaching what the bible teaches. I see other religions who tolerate things that are against Jehovah God's principles. Other religions believe things that are not even in the bible. It's sad. Any and Everything we believe is straight from the bible. The trinity is not even found in the bible. Jesus denied being God but yet other religions worship him. So as I've said before other forms of Christianity believe things that preachers preach...and not what the bible teaches.
  • Nope. Just a devout Atheist. Though I am seriously considering the Asgard Religion merely for the funeral I can have. Put on a burning boat, carried off to Vahallah by the Valkyrie to await the Day of Ragnorok.
  • Small thing you should bring up. Any negative media publicity against Jehovah's Witnesses is said to be the work of Satan. Now that is recent knowledge to me. Tips things back where I think I will think JW's a cult for that alone. It allows them to hide from the truth just as I see individual JW's do here. If I'm wrong I will readily accept it. Just use something real and not the Bible dribble. Just about any government of college resource will do.
  • I believe I was 7 when I decided religion was bunk. They said the Bible was perfect no mistakes. Then I spotted the first grammar error. That opened everything. The Bible all fell apart. Never saved, never baptized, never will. Not much into ceremonies either. Never attended the ceremonies for grammar school, high school or my 3 college graduations. Even in the army, I never participated in a single parade. I am a member of the true non religion, REALITY.
  • I do have to ask a question. Unless you have studied every religion, how do you arrive at truth? I mean I have studied about 15 major religions and about another 70 denominations. All have something good, none complete. Of all Christian religions, my hands down choice would be Amish. And I'm not saying I prefer it for living without electricity or cars. Right is not selecting for living conditions though. In the US most religious groups established churches and communities for god's kingdom on earth. None really worked out. Amish, Amana and loosly speaking Mormons have survived. But not exactly as planned.
  • I have a 'question'? I am a 47 year old man who spent 15 years in prison for 'mistaken identity', I was 'exonerated' and pardoned by the Governor...I came to learn, study, and be baptized as Jehovah's Witness in prison.....do you think they still do this or have 'changed the policy'? I am questioning whether I should have 'waited' to be released from prison before I made the decision to be Baptized!?
  • How can the 144,000 be Jehovah Witnesses. They are literal tribes during the Tribulation and they are virgins. That means that any JW with kids is not included. Women are not included. Why did Jesus state that all eyes would see him coming in the clouds. JW claim that he is already here as of 1914. Why does Charles Taze Russell have a Pagan cross on his Tomb in Pennsylvania? Would God chose an alcoholic like Judge Rutherford to interpret his word? Why did the Watchtower tell its members the end is at hand several times? Judge Rutherford meanwhile lived in Europe with two 12 cylinder Cadillacs while waiting out the depression. Why did the Saints need a place in La Jolla , Ca to live? If God is the truth then why would so many prophecies from JW be wrong. If God was all loving , then why do JWs excommunicate members with questions about the Watchtower or for celebrating Holidays etc.
  • Sorry I'm not a baptized Jehovah's witness but I would like to comment if I may. I don't think that there is a True religion in this world, but I do believe in the truth of their teachings. Religions are man-made that is why they are imperfect and biased. Religion no, but beliefs yes!
  • I am a baptized Jehovah's Witness living with transgendered feeling's meaning I have felt from a very young age I was born in the wrong body gender, I don't cross dress, or take any sex hormones. I have not had a sex change operation, I am living in my birth gender. my fellow witnesses here is something to think about: Jehovah's Witnesses use Deuteronomy 22; 5 : “No garb of an able-bodied man should be put upon a woman, neither should an able-bodied man wear the mantle of a woman; for anybody doing these things is something detestable to Jehovah your God."- New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures. Jehovah's Witnesses also teach that Deuteronomy is part of the old law and Jehovah's Witnesses are no longer under that law, Jehovah's Witnesses say that there under the new law of Christ Jesus, the old law was done away with once Jesus Christ died for all humankind. Jehovah's Witnesses belive they only live under the new law of Christ Jesus. So Jehovah's Witnesses should not use Deuteronomy 22:5 as law today. Jehovah's Witnesses can't have it both ways either Jehovah's Witnesses are living under the old law or living under Jesus Christ's new law you can't have it both ways. Jehovah God loves all kind of people including Transgendered people, Jesus Christ died for all including people dealing with Transgendered feeling's, Please remember that point. "Jehovah is the most high over all the earth"- PS 83:18(NWT ,KJV) Jehovah God is the Judge not humankind. my answer to you is that Jehovah God knows if it is or is not the only true religion.

Jehovah God loves mankind - it is their immoral acts that he hates. 1 Cor. 6 v 9 & 10 - yet that is what some of you were. So JWs do not use the old mosaic law, yet it is the principles that they obey. Look at Roman 1 v 26, and v 27.
  • I was baptized as a Witness when I turned 14. At 19, I was at the District Convention where they 'changed' the definition of 'generation' so that it would span hundreds of years (i.e., "that generation shall not pass away.") instead of only referencing the people who were alive to see the events of 1914. I remember looking around, thinking to myself, "Is anyone else buying this?" And no one even blinked. I started researching the origins of the religion after that; I was shocked by what I found. I bet that the average rank-and-file Witness has no clue as to the beginning of 'The Truth'; if so, most probably wouldn't even associate with the Witnesses. SO... long answer, yes was 'baptized' as a Jehovah's Witness, but no, they absolutely do NOT have the market cornered on the 'one true religion.'
  • Absolutely! Why would I get baptized if I didn't know it was the truth? Jehovah's Witnesses study the entire Bible and fully obey God's commands. We are at unity and peace with one another worldwide and show the real Christian love Jesus commanded his followers to show. John13:35
  • I am not a baptized Jehovah's Witness, but I was raised as one. Most of my family are Jehovah's Witnesses. My parents were baptized in 91'. I would love to claim to be a true Jehovah's Witness, for I firmly believe they ARE the true religion and that Jehovah IS God,but I cannot claim to be one if I do not act acording to the true christian way, which I do not. I do a lot of things that a true christian would not do and I am ashamed of it. I want to say I really don't care what people have to say about the JW but I do care. Because most of the stuff you people say are horrible things, lies and slander. I am ashamed to call you my fellow human beings. Instead of bashing the JW's why don't you go look at yourself, are you perfect? I think not. I also believe that there ARE good and 'bad' JW's just like there are good and bad catholics, and just like there are good and bad people period! You shouldn't judge them all because you have encountered a few rotten one's. And I guess that's all I have to say in the matter. Signed; a 16 year old kid oh wait one more thing. I would like to leave the official Jehovah's Witness website just incase any of you would like to *learn something* about them. okay here it is,hope this helps... http://www.watchtower.org/ oh and here is a page off of the website entitled; Jehovah's Witnesses; Who are they? And what do they believe? http://www.watchtower.org/e/jt/index.htm
  • You see Texasescimo, What Bibleography is saying is that witnesses go on belief for everything. Including the 144,000, 1914, etc..... They are reasonings that someone came up with in the society and were stuffed down our throats as TRUTH! We are supposed to BELIEVE without proof or questionings! We have to just believe they are right and are being used by God! Every religion like bibleography said has some reason behind being a religious person. JW's for example think we gain everlasting life in a new world if we go knock on peoples doors shove our opinions down there throats and treat others nicely etc.... When you actually step away from religion all together you see the that religion is another placebo... a filler to make people feel better, more secure, happy. But really its just the opposite. You should research religion and where it came from and started. You will be very surprised and even a little angry. Then you realize that this is the only life you will actually get and are lucky to have been able to live in the first place! You can live a happy life without belief, you can have actual truth! If there is a God im sure he would want us to know he exist and wouldn't base his existence on belief. I used to believe in mermaids but that doesn't mean they exist. He also would not use a book that has been translated, misinterpreted, misused, etc to prove his existence.

you may have accepted what they taught without examining it, but I for one, delved very deeply before getting involved. I lived in a religiously divided household of catholic, anglican and baptist. I thoroughly examined the JWs before getting involved. I asked questioned and researched. When I was satisfied it was the truth, then I accepted it. I have now been a witness for over 30 years and not regretted one minute.
  • You do not have to study and compare the teachings of all the many religions. You need only learn what the Bible really teaches about true worship. To illustrate: In many lands, there is a problem with counterfeit money. If you were given the job of picking out such false money, how would you go about it? By memorizing every kind of counterfeit? No. Your time would be better spent if you studied real money. After you knew what real money looked like, you could recognize a counterfeit. Similarly, when we learn how to identify the true religion, we can recognize those religions that are false. It is important that we worship Jehovah in the way that he approves. Many people believe that all religions are pleasing to God, but the Bible does not teach that. It is not even enough just to claim to be a Christian. Jesus said: “Not everyone saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will.” To have God’s approval, therefore, we must learn what God requires of us and do it. Jesus called those who do not do God’s will “workers of lawlessness.” (Matthew 7:21-23) Like counterfeit money, false religion has no real value. Even worse, such religion is actually harmful. So do I feel I am a memeber of only true religon YES!
  • Not baptised or a member of any religion, but felt I would add my own thoughts. Don't all religious people think they are a member of the only true religion?
  • I haven't, but it is one of my goals in my life. Even though I'm not I do feel I'm part of the true religion.
  • Why would anyone follow any religion if they didn't think it wasn't the true one? Why would anyone who thought or believed they had the true religion not want to tell others about it? By asking the question, you must also answer - do YOU think you are a member of the only true religion? Or, if you believe all religions are good and true, do You think you have the only correct way of thinking? Or, if you don't even believe in God, do you think your view is the only true one? By asking these very questions, you must ask them of yourself as well. This is the path to enlightenment and ultimate truth. Rene Descartes - If you would be a real seeker after truth, it is necessary that at least once in your life you doubt, as far as possible, all things. Don't you think the Israelites believed they had the one true God and religion? The Scriptures definitely show that. Don't you think the early Christians felt likewise? The Scriptures support that as well. If you seek truth, you must judge for yourself what is true. Do not rely on what others tell you. There are many online who will tell you not to waste your time. Some may even have horror stories of their time serving Jehovah. Whether these stories are true or not is often hard to verify, and we are left either accepting the words of a total stranger on a website, or looking into the matter for ourselves. 2 Peter 2:2 tells us the ultimate goal of most of these accusers: “and on account of these the way of the truth will be spoken of abusively.” Acts 17:10,11 tell us the best answer to the claims of such ones: “Immediately by night the brothers sent both Paul and Silas out to Be·roe´a, and these, upon arriving, went into the synagogue of the Jews. Now the latter were more noble-minded than those in Thes·sa·lo·ni´ca, for they received the word with the greatest eagerness of mind, carefully examining the Scriptures daily as to whether these things were so.” The Beroean’s were not going to take someone else’s word for it, neither believer nor opposer. They carefully examined what they were being taught; however, they did so with great eagerness of mind. They were not seeking their own gratification of preconceived notions, nor were they feverishly looking for contradictions to prove a point. They sought truth, even if it meant they had been wrong. The original Greek root word used in this Scripture is anakrino, which is rendered ‘closely scrutinizing’ in the Emphatic Diaglott translation. Further examination of the meaning of this word can help us understand just how diligent the Beroean’s were in their study of the Scriptures. Anakrino 1. examine or judge b. to investigate, examine, enquire into, scrutinise, sift, question 1. specifically in a forensic sense of a judge to hold an investigation 2. to interrogate, examine the accused or witnesses b. to judge of, estimate, determine (the excellence or defects of any person or thing In answer, I invite one and all interested to read the following article: http://magnifyjehovah.com/index.php/2009/04/20/is-there-one-true-religion-part-1/
  • Personally I think that SDA is true in the since that they are following God from the best perspective they know. This is true for many Christians. It is also true for those Christians that keep Torah. Isaiah put it this way : Isa 56:1 Thus saith the LORD, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation [is] near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed. Sabbath keepers does no evil Isa 56:2 Blessed [is] the man [that] doeth this, and the son of man [that] layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil. son of stranger Isa 56:3 Neither let the son of the stranger, that hath joined himself to the LORD, speak, saying, The LORD hath utterly separated me from his people: Eunuch-sabbaths keepers neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I [am] a dry tree. Isa 56:4 For thus saith the LORD unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose [the things] that please me, and take hold of my covenant; Isa 56:5 Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off. sabbath keepers Isa 56:6 Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant; Isa 56:7 Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices [shall be] accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people. others Isa 56:8 The Lord GOD which gathereth the outcasts of Israel saith, Yet will I gather [others] to him, beside those that are gathered unto him. However you interpret this text and see you congregation inside of it. There is clearly more than one group of people that Isaiah is saying will be connected to God.
  • Yes...I was baptised in 1971...And yes, after studying with the Witnesses off and on for several years, I was baptised. I would never have gotten baptised if I had not been thoroughly convinced that this is the truth.
  • It is the only group that is obeying these scriptures... Using God's NAME...Exodus 6;3 Preaching..Matthew 28; 19,20 Peaching the KINGDOM...Matthew 24;14 and Daniel 2;44 Preaching as Jesus did...house to house...Acts 5;42 and 20;20 Are other religions doing this...sadly, no. Nowhere does the Bible state that preaching be limited to ONLY religious leaders...
  • I was raised as one, and occasionally go to meetings. I have to admit, if there's a question about religion you need answered, they always know, and they follow the bible strictly, no made up stuff. They always back up their explanations with bible references, and I really admire them for this. I just hate that they have terrible clicks, and if you stray a tiny bit, you might as well never have been a JW to begin with. With JW's, once you do something wrong, there's no forgiving, you are abandoned. I learned this the hard way, over a long time. Whether or not what they preach is true, Jehovah wouldn't want the people who represent him to be such unforgiving jerks. I would have stayed in the truth if it wasn't for their arrogance.
  • I am not a Jehovah Witness and never will be. I dont see why they say they are followers of Christ. When Christ has actually been put on the back burner. There are 8 people in Brooklyn that run the lives of all Jehovah Witnesses. If they say change what you believe you change. No questions ask. Jesus said come out from amoung them.
  • of course,i was baptized last Feb.17,2007 and i do believe like inquisitive that ours is the true religion!!!
  • Jehovah Witnesses do feel they have it correct and all others have it wrong. Heres a little of what they believe. Correct me if Im wrong. God is still resting from creation. Michael was promoted to a mighty God after he recreated himself and did not exist while Jesus was on earth. No resurection. Eternal Holy Spirit is an active force that can be blasphined against??? Michael was Jesus and Michael created everything except him self
  • I am baptised. I was a member of the Protestant church before that and never felt happy. I always felt there was something missing. When I accepted a study in 1977, I have never looked back. It has not been easy but it was the best decision I ever made. True, the organisation makes mistakes. But after all, they are imperfect men, however, they are ready to admit the mistakes and rectify them. But if you research you will find that they never said the end would come in 1975, they said it was 6000 years since Adams creation! If you serve Jehovah for dates (ie 1975) then you will never be truly happy. Jehovah wants us to serve him out of love and for those who endure it to the end, will have the real life of eternal peace and happiness in a paradise earth.
  • My family background was Baptist..However, like most of my large family, I saw the hypocracy...Many of my exended family members were preachers. As a redult..I didn't go to church during my younger years, even though I always believed there is a God. As I got older, I thought more seriously about my position. I wanted to find an organization that taught what the Bible teaches...I studied the Bible for years and finally was convinced that Jehovah's Witnesses was as close as one could get..Truth does get brighter as time goes on as the Bible sait it would. As a result, sometimes adjustments need to be made in ones thinking.. So to answer your question...Yes..If I did not, I would still be looking. Actually it wasn't all that hard..I could easily see that the Bible does not teach Hell-fire (eternal torment), the immortality of the soul, and the trinity...So that narrowed my choices considerably..
  • I believe they think they are. Its kind of hard to defend what they believe from the Scriptures. I dont think God was waiting for Pastor Russell to come on the scene to restore Christianity. I do proudly salute our flag and we dont have crosses in our Church except on the podium in fron of the Church. We dont post pictures of Michael thought. I am proud to be a Christian American and by the way this is one of the most changed Jehovah Witnesses positions.
  • Absolutely, 63 years ago. Eph 4:5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism;  one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.  Today, millions may claim to be Christians, but they disown God by their works, because they are detestable and disobedient and not approved for good work of any sort. Titus 1:16  It is good for us to remember that in the first century, genuine Christians were hated by many if not the majority of their contemporaries. That is why the apostle Peter wrote: “If you are being reproached for the name of Christ, you are happy, because the spirit of God is resting upon you.” 1 Pet. 4:14.  Can those inspired words be applied to Jehovah’s Witnesses today? Yes, indeed, because we bear witness to Jesus’ kingship. Thus, being hated for bearing Jehovah’s name is the same as being reproached for the name of Jesus Christ, who said to his opposers: “I have come in the name of my Father, but you do not receive me.” John 5:43  Jesus was not saying that Christians would be witnesses only of him and no longer be witnesses of Jehovah. After all, Jesus is called “the Faithful Witness.” Revelation 1:5; 3:14 He is the foremost Witness of Jehovah and the model we follow. 1 Peter 2:21 Most, if not all Christian religious teach that all good people go to heaven, then I read Psalms 37:29 which says "The righteous will possess the earth, And they will live forever on it." I said to myself, some one is lying. Well the Bible does not lie, but false religion does.
  • I was baptized in 1975 as one of Jehovah's witnesses that means that I promised to serve Jehovah and to obey Jesus Christ I absolutely believe that there is no other course of action that is valid. If you're going to be a Christian you make known the name of Jehovah like Jesus said to do and you preach the Great commission like Jesus said to do. There is no other program Jesus gave you a program you either obey him or you disobey him there's no gray area here
