Definitely more to it. Plus, someone who would get drunk enough to blame it on the alcohol is an idiot to begin with, so obviously it was the fact that the person was an idiot in the first place.. and not the alcohol making them do it.

I know some people do things while under the influence of alcohol they wouldn't do sober. However, THEN the problem becomes not the action taken but the alcohol itself. If a person consistently finds themselves embroiled in problems that occured when under the influence, then the chemical is the real problem.

Desire alone; you can't justify cheating from alcohol use (in my estimation anyway).

Alcohol doesn't put ideas in your head. All alcohol does is make it easier to do the things you'd normally have a problem doing.

There has to be an underlying problem with a relationship...the alcohol just loosens inhibitions...

Alcohol doesn't make you do anything. It is neither a reason or excuse for behavior. It may make you do something worse or less effectively. But, you can't blame actions on alcohol. In fact, people are actually more truthful when inebriated. If your girlfriend or boyfriend cheated on you and used alcohol as an excuse, DON'T BUY IT. Find someone else to date.

Alcohol is just an excuse.
