Your teen age child. No matter how annoyed you feel at the moment...DO NOT MICROWAVE THEM! They almost always DO improve...with age. And if you just go take a nice walk, and give them time, they will get a job, help pay bills, help with the upkeep of the house AND take you out for dinner on occasion! Plus...you used to adore them...remember back then? You couldn't stop watching them...they put on a few years and thought YOU knew everything there was to know... But...(sometimes) in a few more years, they turned 13 or so and suddenly...you "became" dumb, and so NOT WITH IT! This is transitory...they will evolve, IF you remember you are not their best friend, set healthy and reasonable boundaries, never threaten something you are NOT prepared to follow through with (teaches accountability) and DO NOT PUT THE LITTLE DARLINGS IN THE MICROWAVE! Other living creatures are a given NOT TO BE PUT...in the microwave. Other than this...NO metal...pots, spoons, forks, knives, bowls. Always poke a whole potato with a fork before cooking and likewise and egg (to poach or "fry") just poke the yoke and away you go!
