Yep. If you don't like it, McDonald's is always hiring.
-
What type of job is it?
-
Yes, so long as the policy is consistent among all women in a similar position.
-
So long as men have to as well (which I'm guessing they don't). If men don't have to, there is probably a case for sexual discrimination, depending on where you live.
-
Yes... unless you have a medical condition and a doctor has told you not to wear high heels.
-
I have never heard a "dress code" that insists upon high heels. I can see dress shoes, but do they stipulate how "high" the heels must be? There are lots of very appropriate and stylish shoes with lower heels that should be just fine. You might want to clarify that with someone. Lots of women simply can't wear "high" heels.

I've never heard of a dress code requiring the height of your heels on a shoe .... I'd speak with THE head person where you work .... IF that fails; call the nearest labor relations board in your area ...
-
Are the guys wearing them too? What happens if someone has foot problems or a disability and can't wear them? It seems like this rule is probably illegal and discriminatory and wouldn't be hard to knock down.
-
thats stupid
-
I can't be certain but to me that screams sexual discrimination...unless the men have to wear heels too, in which case that's just plain hysterical. Sucks, but hysterical!
-
where the hell do you work, at a strip club?
-
Only if you work in a strip joint.
-
If you want the job, you follow the rules. No one is forcing you to take it! And they warned you ahead of time.
