There is an American beer called Samuel Adams Utopias brewed by the Boston Beer Company that registers a whopping 25%. It costs £56 a bottle if you want to try it! That is the strongest beer I think.

There was a Barley Wine which is beer that was made in 1994. It was presented at the Toronto Barley Wine Festival in 1998 and it's content at that time was 29%. Barley Wine is an aged beer that gets better the older it is.

I'd say Barley wine too, but we have a local brewery which brews a beer called 'Crippled Dick' and you can only get it in half-pint measures as it's so strong.

I am told Adams Ale is very strong as a selling beer I would imagine that Home Brew can be much stronger.
