G'day PM Lars, Thank you for your question. I don't drive and never have. However, in Australia, we have compulsory third party insurance that you must pay in order to register a car. I wouldn't drive a car without insurance in any case. Too much can go wrong. Regards

a few months, i lost my job and paid it as long as i could, but after awhile it was a choice of buying food or paying insurance.i plan on renewing it in two weeks.

So far as I can remember, I have never driven without car insurance. I have been with the same insurance company, United Services Automobile Association, since 1966.

About eight years. In NH, insurance is only mandatory if you need an SR-22 or if you have a car loan, though the latter is a bank policy and not a state law. Since my record was/is clean and I owned my cars free and clear, I did not need insurance.
