In the UK... The only place in the world where drivers indicating to change lanes truly believe they have 'right of way'

In my country (wont mention the name)including me.....

Texas for all I've seen so far. The Texas drivers license test I think (not sure) makes it a crime to have any common sense whatsoever. try the DFW freeway system someday...The stupidity is utterly mind boggling. They even have signs all ove the place that say: Obey warning signs, State law! (Well no shit Sherlock!)

I am not sure but they are on the roads I use

I'm proud to have become a New Zealand citizen but I'm ashamed at our driving attitude and driving skills. Having come from the UK (my curse) I can assure you that if the Brits drove as badly as we Kiwis, there would be carnage. My experience is we have a significant minority who: A) Appear to be asleep behind the wheel. B) Have absolutely no driver 'anticipation' skills. C) Believe that a Holden/Ford badge entitles them to carve everyone up on the road (cylinder # = IQ?). D) Are candidates for 'Darwinian' driving awards i.e. changing motorway lanes before checking mirror/ indicating, undertaking at high speed etc etc. E) Have not understood that basic road manners make everyone's life a little easier. F) Risk everyone's lives for the chance to make up one space in a queue. G) Will drive into a blocked intersection, even though they know they will not be clear by the next light change. This equals gridlock for everybody. The majority of New Zealand drivers are good drivers. The problem is that the justice system fails to remove the bad drivers from the roads. Frequently judges threaten drivers who have a long list of previous offenses with a prison sentence if they offend again. All threats and no action. Large numbers of serious accidents are caused by drivers who either have suspended license or restricted licences. The justice system is so weak that drivers simply ignore their license suspensions and continue to drive. The dangers on the road are caused by an ineffective powder-puff government.

Well I have experienced the people in the northern states driving the worst. They are always in such a rush. It's scary being on the road with people who drive that fast. They are just busy bodies in general... Word of advice, stop to smell the roses, you might find you enjoy it.

In America: Charleston, South Carolina. Home of the biggest rubber-neckers and brain-dead bubbas in the land. People typically disconnect one head-light until the other one goes bad, and then re-connect the second one. They also seem to think the left lane is for important people like themselves regardless of how slow they're going. In the world: I'll go with Thailand. People think traffic accidents are caused by bad luck/karma. You'll see motorcyclists weaving in and out of city traffic with an infant cradled in their left arm... sometimes while sitting in lotus position. Anyone who believes in the natural and inherent rationality of man has never stood for 15 seconds on a street corner in Bangkok.

In Conway, AR--we have people here who drive BACKWARDS in a traffic circle because they did not exit when they meant to...and a "yield" sign means "give up and sit still until everyone else goes away"...lol....oh, and they watch for the pretty red and green lights to flash holiday greetings...lol....

I think India is a good candidate. I still remember this old car driving in the wrong direction up a major 6-lane motorway just to avoid having to drive to the next roundabout. India's the only country I've visited that I'd never want to drive in.
